They were my mums favourite.

So at her funeral my Dad thought asking them to supply banana sandwiches at the wake would be a good idea.

I forgot to specify 'some' banana sandwiches, and all of them were. 4 platters worth.

Turns out my mum and I were the only ones to like them

I originally thought the title of this thread was a euphemism...

Banana sandwich? What the hell is wrong with you people? Fruit does not belong between two slices of bread. Bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, steak, pork, ham, chicken (etc.)

But not fruit! The only sandwich fruit belongs in is between two slices of a Victoria sponge cake...

Eurghhh.

"Best Banana dish in the world!

Banana Crepes Flambé

Lady Finger Bananas, Fried in butter and Flambéd with dark Rum. Served flaming on a Brussles, Belgian Waffle, with homemade vanilla Ice Cream....

"

Not sure the sprouts go well in this dish.

"Banana with black pepper is delicious either in a sandwich or on toast.

A step too far Heston

Try it. The black pepper brings out all the juices. I put it on strawberries and melon too.

Well that's another one to add to the list now"

Seriously good with slices of mature cheddar (if I run out of peanut butter)...

There is one thing I'm getting from this thread:-

If you really do want a youtube tiktok taste sensation to rate in 2022, then it has GOT to be ham n pineapple pizza with nutella, sliced banana, mature cheddar, Chardonnay, sliced lindt, chopped terrys orange, an after eight, a slice of processed cheese, a big mac, 2 triple cheese burgers with bacon and a hash brown.

Hope that helps.

Mmmmmm yes! With sugar on and in toasties too.... yummy! Difference is that I slice the banana, yet mrs mushes them up.

But the question now becomes, how do you take your potato. Sliced or mashed?

Banana on toast. It's a game changer!

I swear. Better if you use a seeded bread with salted butter!
