Wouldn’t exactly know what to say I am I have some very odd dynamics when it comes to that like

For woman sex and dateing are open

For men only sex for now I think not meet a guy I would date sorry that’s not a knock on guys just how I am

For other tv/ts mostly just friendship but there has been a couple on here that have cought my eye to push the envelope more with them

So really wouldn’t know what to class my self as

You can be bi or pan romantic. Or bisexual but Aromantic or you can be bisexual but heteromantic there’s so many to choose. These days sexuality and gender are becoming very much separate and I’m ok with that.

Hello!

Fellow Pan here! I classed myself as bi for most of my life but would always have to explain that for me, attraction is about a vibe. Then last year I fell in to Pan TikTok and everything suddenly clicked!

I was shocked they didn’t have Pan as an option on here, I don’t like that they have the TV/TS category either as they’re two totally different things.

Pansexuality is the romantic, emotional, and/or sexual attraction to people regardless of their gender. Like everyone else, pansexual people may be attracted to some people and not others, but the gender of the person does not matter. People of any gender identity can and do identify as pansexual.

Yes that’s me

Incredibly outdated!

I always struggled to try and explain my sexuality, it hasn’t ever really been an issue though as I’ve been with my husband for 18 years and we’re monogamous. When I heard an explanation of Pan, it all made sense!

Defo not lesbian I knew I liked men too then I realised there was more to it and that I’m attracted to people/personality/intelligence so defo a sapiosexual too but when trans became more prevalent I was like oooh ok and then heard about pan through friends and thought fuck that’s like me. Pansexual, but probably not panromantic. I do have definite preferences, but at times have been sexually attracted to most genders. Romantic attraction I've only really felt towards the genders at the female end of the spectrum, though never say never.

Sexual or romantic, it's much more to do with the individual than it is the gender of the individual.

In a utopian world its a nice sentiment but don't underestimate how empowering labels are for a lot of people who gradually discover their identity after a lot of confusion and trepidation. A lot of people take comfort in being able to put a name to how they feel.

Whether people choose to use or eschew labels the important thing and the aspiration is we develop a little more respect and celebration of individuality and diversity.

Just to add, I don’t class myself as Pan because I can find trans people attractive - trans men and men and trans women are women so that would make me bisexual still. I class myself as Pan because I’m not about gender or sex or identity, I could find any human attractive. It’s hard to explain but I dislike the ‘I’m pan because I fancy trans people’ as that’s crap and equally I hate peoples telling me Pan doesn’t exist and it’s just bi. Just over there

I class myself as Pan for ease of explanation or to occasionally tick that box on forms (though the options are usually hetero/bi/gay which I then ignore!)

I find it difficult to answer the what's your sexuality question! In vanilla world I say I'm attracted to everyone, which is usually met with 'bit of a slut then?'

My son is the same, he uses fluid to describe himself. I like that. I wake up with no preconceived sexuality and just allow attraction to come in whatever form it chooses!

I was having a conversation about pansexual a few days ago. I still wasn't 100% sure what it meant, the explanations on here have helped with that do thank you. I still have no idea what I am, I've always said Bi because it's easier than explaining. I like people, nice people anyway. I'm attracted to their minds, the language they use, the conversations we have and the connection we build. If those people have boobs, great, I like boobs, I also like cock if they happen to have one (not be one) they could have all of those parts, some of different bits on different days, that doesn't particularly phase me as it's not what causes the initial attraction. I fancy people based on how we connect. Although I can be a sucker for a nice bum but that just makes me a perve I've given up finding a label, I'm just a crazy weirdo who most of the time is too anti social to look for and build those connections anyway.

I really like this. I've tended to think of pansexual as being explicitly more accepting of trans people, but that may actually be becoming something of an old-fashioned distinction.

Talking of old-fashioned, it's why TV/TS is still such a thing on here - a lot of it is still running on an old model, when I think it was actually somewhat progressive.

It's only recently I've begun to realise I'm more bi/pan-curious than I thought for a long time. I'm finding this conversation really interesting.

"There are only two gender options male and female and nature dictates that.

Have whatever kink you like but you're male or female

Mark

I think you’ll find that nature dictates biological sex and even then, there’s more than two. Gender is a social construct and there are a lot of variations. Also, sexuality and gender are separate things and nothing to do with kinks.

C x"

True , even tho gender yes is a social construct, there have been plenty of studies from very notorious universities around the world with well known professors that studied gender dysphoria and trans people, and there is such a thing as a trans brain (brain doesn’t fully masculinise or feminise at the end of the process, in the womb), which aligns a lot more with the gender someone feels they belong. (So a trans woman has a brain more aligned/similar to a cis woman)

Which explains why someone might feel and perceive things a certain way.

"Wouldn’t exactly know what to say I am I have some very odd dynamics when it comes to that like

You do you hon xx"

"'Pansexuality is sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity. Pansexual people may refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are not determining factors in their romantic or sexual attraction to others.'

.

'Demisexual people only feel sexually attracted to someone when they have an emotional bond with the person. They can be gay, straight, bisexual, or pansexual, and may have any gender identity. Demisexual people do not feel primary attraction — the attraction you feel to someone when you first meet them.'"

I think many people see them having aspects of pansexuality or at least seeing gender as not a driving force but still having a leaning. Sexuality boxes are useful for people to filter their searches. But they are also a problem because its hard to fix Sexuality into boxes for many. Some people may be in a situation where they generally fall into a box but find with the right people/moment falling into another box but most of time would feel labeling them self into that other box disingenuous. As much as it would be nice to get rid of boxes they do help people search. It's a shame there not a way to reflect people's Sexuality on a spectrum rather than a box.

I dont think for example there is a box for me. I simply fancy who I fancy and that attraction is mainly based on the person rather than how they look. Gender isn't a driving issue for me. However sexual organs are important to me. I have absolutely no attraction to male genitalia what so ever, its a real turn off. So that puts me in a difficult position were for me anyone with male parts would be a no go for me. So straight seems the most accurate category but I could for example easily fall for a non-binary person with female genitalia. And likewise I couldn't be with a woman who still had male genitalia. So if I can fancy people of all genders but only with female genitalia do I really qualify as straight? However I have no intrest in dicks so I wouldn't say bi describes me either. And to be fair I'm not bothered by label's, I do my thing and the only person I have to answer to is me.

Sexuality is so diverse and beautiful but also a minefield. But one thing I know from my time on the scene is rarely people fit into little boxes.

Mr

"Pansexuality is the romantic, emotional, and/or sexual attraction to people regardless of their gender. Like everyone else, pansexual people may be attracted to some people and not others, but the gender of the person does not matter. People of any gender identity can and do identify as pansexual.

Yes that’s me "

I think the site does need to move with the times and should definitely offer more options for those who don't fit in the limited choices currently.

Im not one for getting hung up on labels but would love the option to have pansexual on my profile as it's definitely a lot more accurate than saying im bi.
