Have been messing around with a cheap inflatable one for the past couple of summers and I now want to buy myself one for some longer river journeys but being 6'6 (and a bit) I am not sure if I am going to be able to find something to fit me?

Guess the question is what are you looking to do with it, and your budget?

If you don't have anywhere to store a rigid kayak a good inflatable kayak, we have both.

I paddle but I have not had time to for a while. In the last few years it has only been trips to WW centres for playboating/freestyle.

I love kayaking. Very much so. I've pondered going to my local pursuits centre and doing the courses for grading to learn properly but I just never seem to find the time or always something else to spend the money on. Have been out many times in some beautiful locations and some simple and local and it genuinely brings me a sense of peace to my whole being every single time. Really hits the spot for me.

I use to paddle till I was on a river soaking wet in the middle of November, below 0 n i thought, "what the fuck am I doing here".

Did it for a few years, n that was the last time, never did it again

I live near the Severn/Avon and would love to be able to do some decent long days (and maybe overnights).

If you don't have storage space worth looking at high end inflatable like the Gumotex Swing or Seawave. Sevylor

One of the things I am not sure about is max weight - I weight just under 100kg in my birthday suit - plus extra gear. Would it be better to get something like the longer Seawave (despite it being two person) or the single seater Swing. I am guessing the Seawave would handle the weight better?

I like the idea and literally have a ship canal on my doorstep so I see them all the time. Don't like the idea of a mouthful of canal water though. Last chap I know did that that spent a fortnight in hospital!

Need to check the spec, 200kg or more would imagine.
