January Fitness Challenge - *°* Day 7 *°*

Wow I can't believe this is the end of our first week!! Well done everyone.. Good planking

Here, we go - Day 7 of the January fitness planking challenge - it's a bit more challenging today - the pose will be shared on the telegram group / via fab messenger

Make sure your core is engaged to protect your back.. Don't let that bootie pop up! Check the pose and keep checking your alignment, don't hurt yourself

Day 7: Plank Up-Downs

* Start in a low plank.

* Maintaining square hips, place your right hand under your right shoulder, then left hand under your left shoulder (you will now be in a basic high plank) , then proceed to lower back down to your right elbow, then your left elbow (basic low plank)

* Continue alternating the hand you come up with first for 60 seconds. Do three sets.

*so you are going from a basic low plank to a basic high plank and then just keep repeating. Keep the core engaged through the transition - its tough, but you can do it! Feet are hip distance apart

The standard activity is as described - but it is up to you how many seconds and reps you do.. Dial it down or punch it up depending on your ability

Lancashire

Late doing them today and struggled a bit with the increase to 60 seconds. Managed a 5 mile run at lunchtime though

Managed to do all 3 sets. Kept a good pace the first 30 seconds each time but slowed down a bit more it went on

It was a hard one today

Well done on the run! I need to figure out how to get a lunch break so I can get some kms in!

I don’t think I’ll manage today’s planks, as my arm is sore from my booster jab earlier.

I’ll be a trooper and try though!
