My ghost is back it likes to turn the TV on when I’m in bed…. But when I get up to turn it off, it’s off before I get there….

Would like to think it’s the remote squashed between something but both are on the table.

Years ago I had this with my tv, also channels would change. I was living in a flat with adjoining balcony to next door, it turned out to be the neighbours with a universal remote.

Had me at it for months, till I caught the buggers!

Ok use the rock salt and create a circle around your bed. This way you can sleep safe because the spirit can’t cross the rock salt barrier.

Tomorrow you need to find the bones or object the spirit is attached to, then salt and burn it.

Oh heck don’t say that…. That scares the sh*t out of me …. It’s attached to my remote control & I need it

To get the salt involves going through the living room to get to the kitchen….

I have the same happen with my tele. Every now and then when i get up for work it comes on without touching anything. Theres always something boring on when it does it, it could pick something a little better if it wants me to watch it.

Its to do with devices plugged in via hdmi. Some devices on Hdmi can power cycle your TV on, usually due to a setting thats on or because the device has shoddy settings / ie cheap lol.

My playstation turns mine on sometimes.

If ghosts aren’t real how come I’ve seen them? Cold spots, depressions on my bed where my cat used to sleep? This was soon after she died…. Used to see my previous cat walking around in a new flat.

If you turn the tv off at the wall I.e. no power...

Does it come on by itsef?? If it does, then I would say you had a ghost and run like fuck!!!

This will have a perfectly reasonable explanation.

As suggested faulty remote or close proximity of a universal remote tuned to your tv.

You should try talking to it and see if you can record any answers/Electronic Voice Phenomena on your phone's recorder....

Would the bones of a leftover Chicken dinner do it? Only finding the bones of a dead person from 1873 is a bit of an ask if you don’t have a jackhammer and ear muffs.

I walked into my son’s bedroom early one morning as he was packing to go into hospital for a big op (his fourth). He was on FaceTime to his gf and she asked how I was. I replied honestly, not great and as I did his PS4 racing wheel started spinning on its own, like when you’ve just turned it on - only the PS wasn’t even on. We looked at each other and I ran out of the room! Was quite glad not to be staying at home for the next week! It may have had a logical explanation, we just couldn’t come up with one, it’s never done it before or since and the timing was impeccable!

If I was a ghost of someone who say died in 1870, then how would it know how to turn a telly on? Ok it may have watched you, but surely it would prefer to watch daytime and online services? If it’s just watching the testcard or shopping channel than it’s more likely a hardware issue with the tv..

Since I’ve had my grandfathers ashes in my cabinet in the living room my tv comes on on it’s own. Even when I’m sitting there I hear the slight ‘click’ noise it makes then the tv starts up. Makes me jump especially when I see the remote on the coffee table nowhere near me. My grandfather was also the one who gave me that tv I just say out loud, you can piss off if you think you’re watching time team.
