same here. Are you sure its not scar tissue from where they quarterise and stitch back the tubes?

Clips? What clip? Paperclips? When I had mine done it was scalpel sack open, snip tubes, cauterize ends and sew sack back up. Maybe they've paperclipped the reversal instructions in there.

It's not as strightforward as they make out sometimes, both me and a friend of mine have had nerve damage as a result of the operation although he is in a worse condition than me, having to undergo pain killing injections for the rest of his life, sure I accept the risks of something going wrong are slim, but when it happens to you, the odds really don't make any difference, go to your gp and explain your worries, good luck, xxx

Had mine done about 20 years ago, took about 3 days to get over the op, not felt any pain or any clips since then. check with your GP

as a former nurse who worked in theatres during procedures advise get to gp for check up. it could be scar tissue forming or something else. safer to get checked out

Serious answer now - after I had mine done the surgeon said there may be a little discomfort for up to 5 days, if there was any discomfort or pain after 5 days go see your GP for examination & advice. Perhaps you'd like to take that advice too?

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I'd like to say I feel your pain... But the ladies here would be better at that ...

I have pain from the operation (left side only) definitely something to have checked out might be sscar tissue ,

if your doctors a really good looking female ask her to kiss it better...

my ex had his clamped, they put like little crocodile clips on each tube, the idea is its easier to reverse if you split and get a new partner, it had a high failure rate tho so they was supposed to stop doing it in this way, my ex was one of the experimental team when they first bought it out and in 6 months 37% of the men who took part failed

we was told they was no longer doing them in this way

There is no pain, just every so often it feels uncomfortable and that's rare, it was definitely clips used and there was no stitching up afterwards. Well docs it is I think then,

Thanks all

Good luck, you'll be fine.

I had mine about 12 years ago, never felt anything, not sure if they used clip then.

I'd get it checked.

I was cauterised... And I would say the "clips" are scar tissue , which will diminish...

On a lighter note... During my op the doctors phone rang in his pocket. I looked at him .. He looked at me....so I got his phone out of his pocket... Answered it and said the doctor was unavailable..... He will call you back soon.... Not exceptionally funny... But true
