"I think that most are doing it today, but we are going to wait until the 13th of january "

Is it traditional to keep the Christmas decorations up until the 13th of January in Sweden?

I usually do mine New years eve or day but I've had a busy time so they came down a day today. The lights haven't been switched on since the New year.

I take mine down on the 27th as its my sons birthday on the 28th, I don't want Christmas hanging over his day, so it's only fair we get back to normal for him

One time the tree would stop up throughout the festive period, but I found the run up to christmas a long one and being so you do get used to seeing the colours when everything else is so drab and its even worse wham the decs are down but the longer their up it seems worse to me, you do have a chance to get over it for a while before starting up again but the short days don't help and cold temps etc.
