Counting my blessings

Earlier this evening I heard about the death of a lovely lady who worked at the local supermarket that I frequent. She was less than a year older than me.

Last month, a colleague died after a short battle with cancers, and she was less than 2 years older than me.

I count my blessings every day, for my relative good health, both mentally and physically.

Wishing FAB people good physical and mental health for many years to come!

Lovely post Pearl.

Makes you think, when things bring you back with a bump. I always count my blessings daily.

I have put off looking up my best friends ex on FB for years, but I saw her boy and saw he was happy and the image of his mum, (my best friend who died a few years ago).

Saw his pic and can see her in him. Not just n looks, but personalty!

I love and miss her daily and always count my blessings and tell my little one how much I love and care for him, no matter what, and how much she was loved and. Tell my boy all about her, and always will.

Im so sorry for your loss Pearl. Hope they can find peace

I did not know them well, however, their deaths made me take stock and appreciate what I have for certain.

Unfortunately cancers seem to be on the increase, or they are getting to them sooner than they were.....its scary. I tell the people that are close to me i love them everyday.

A friend of mine was killed in a motorbike accident in her early 20's around 15 years ago now.

She had had a really rough few years but had come through it. She'd met her soul mate and moved in with him, and she'd begun a Ph.D. which she was loving.

I often think about her when I am scared to try something new, or make a change, so I'll add my best wishes for the future to everyone here.

May you all enjoy long, happy and fulfilling lives.

It is so easy to be blase if we are healthy but it could all change very quickly. Its a good thing to take stock of what we really do have and be grateful for it.
