"Craig David & MNEK - Who You Are. That is a truly great song - I can't praise it enough. Who'd of thought it, Craig David with an absolute belter in this day and age!" It is a good song, unfortunately it was what I was listening to when I was told of my dads passing. Can't listen to it now without crying.

"Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Go Good choice, although I think I still prefer the version by Keane. " Actually, I've just listened to them back to back, and I'm not so sure that Keane's version is better. Keane is more anthemic, where Lily is more acapella and simple. Maybe I like them both equally.

"Black by Pearl Jam - the phrase ‘I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life, I know you’ll be a star, in somebody else’s sky, oh why, oh why, oh why, can’t it be, can’t it be mine’ " Better man always catches me. I have no personal relationship with it though, just that it’s such an emotional song.

"Sarah McClaclan Angel Love this " I think knowing this makes it even more poignant... McLachlan wrote this about a drug-addict's struggles with the world. The "angel" symbolizes the drugs the addict gives in to repeatedly. As McLachlan explained on VH1 Storytellers, this song is about the Smashing Pumpkins touring keyboard player Jonathan Melvoin, who overdosed on heroin and died in 1996. McLachlan didn't know him and was never a heavy drug user herself, but when she read about his death in Rolling Stone, she felt a connection, as she had just come off two years on the road where "there's nothing constant but everything becomes the same."

To be fair, PJ have a lot of great tracks in their catalogue

For me personally this cover is a piece of art. It just resonates so much. Far superior to the nine inch nails original in my humble opinion " Hurt almost feels like it was written for him doesnt it, i love NiN but he really does the song justice

After hearing it the first time Trent Reznor is quote saying “well, it’s not my song anymore.”

"It was only a smile but my heart, it went wild And I wasn't expecting that Just a delicate kiss, anyone could've missed I wasn't expecting that Did I misread the sign? Your hand slipped into mine I wasn't expecting that You spent the night in my bed, you woke up and you said "I wasn't expecting that" I thought love wasn't meant to last I thought you were just passing through If I ever get the nerve to ask What did I get right to deserve somebody like you? I wasn't expecting that It was only a word, it was almost mis-heard 'Cause I wasn't expecting that But it came without fear, a month turned into a year I wasn't expecting that I thought love wasn't meant to last Honey, I thought you were just passing through If I ever get the nerve to ask What did I get right to deserve somebody like you? I wasn't expecting that Isn't it strange how a life can be changed In the flicker of the sweetest smile We were married in spring You know I wouldn't change a thing Without an innocent kiss, what a life I'd have missed If you'd not took a chance on a little romance When I wasn't expecting that Time doesn't take long, three kids up and gone I wasn't expecting that And when the nurses they came, said, "It's come back again" I wasn't expecting that Then you closed your eyes, you took my heart by surprise I wasn't expecting that" Such a song!!
