Really, wow, doubt there's many in the Brosnan camp but I may be wrong!!

Has to be Connery but have to say old Mr Craig is doing an alright job.

Indeed Missshhhh Shhhteph lol

I know it's all about personal taste but I'm still in disbelief that anyone can say that Brosnan is 'by far' the best Bond...

I fell for Timothy Dalton when I saw him as Mr. Rochester on TV back in the early 80s.

Those eyes, that voice, tall dark and handsome, dreamy!

brosnan then Dalton. Daniel Craig isn't a bad bond but he needs a story line with more action in it. casino royal was a bit boring for me and quantum of solace wasn't much better.

I should expand on my answer, I think.

Bond, the Bond in the books, wasn't a nice guy. He wasn't smooth and suave and dashing. Daniel Craig is much more the Bond from the books than any of his predecessors.

I like the rough edges.

I agree as I have read the books. but I guess it isn't what Hollywood likes to see. the darker side of bond played by Craig is good and his dry wit fits the character well.. casino royal was 100 times better than the original. David niven was shocking!

Dull new theme song!! And Dalton was the best bond by far!!

Connery was in best films but unfortunatly not the greatest actor.

Moore too cheesy

Craig could be good only time will tell.

Brosnan unfortunatly the films were shocking.

As for Lazenby, Niven and Bob Holness they one did one appearance in film or on radio so difficult to compare.

Snake eyes, was never a believable bond to me.....i can say i avoided the films when he was 007. Craig has brought me back into the fold, i agree with the poster that said Craigs portrayal is much more like Flemmings character from the books.

craig is the worst,,,no way he looks sophisticated enough to be bond, plus the films have been shite.

best has to be connery, he could both like a gentleman and a fighter.

Connery was superscillious and loked like he was taking the piss all the time.....never rated him as bond or anything else, and that syrup used to move!

Bond isn't supposed to be sophisticated.

Previous actors have made the character their own in various ways but, to me, Craig is much more like the character as he was originally created.

He brings a type of energy previous Bonds just haven't had.

I loved roger Moore as bond he brought a slightly more comic sense to it, I don't like the new bond films far too American he's supposed to be a secret agent destroying Venice isn't very secret, so by association I don't like Craig as bond,

I like the dark edge that Mr Craig is putting to it.

+1.

I have said it before and I will say it again, Craig has no charisma, charm, looks and above all acting ability. For me he is a humourless twat who has ruined the franchise. The sooner he goes the better. Rant over
