Bikini V Underwear

We have both had this thought for a while, why is ok and accepted to walk about in a bikini while at the pool, spa, health club etc, but nobody would ever just walk about in a set of bra and panties!?

Surely they are the same things??

I've worn my underwear at the beach.. The paranoia in me said everyone was pointing and laughing or covering their husbands eyes, but in reality i don't think anyone noticed

Well that depends on whare you get it from

Seen sum swimwear that puts lingerie to shame

For example I have a neon pink satin thong swimsuit that I probably wouldn’t dare try to ware in public

Emmm it’s going to double as a make shift lingerie bodysuit lol x

Exact same thought's and a discussion me and hubby has now and again, some bikinis are much more revealing than some lingerie these days, it's a bit strange really it's just what we have been taught what's right to wear and what's wrong,they are almost the same. Why do men get to walk around topless and we can't. X

Some swim suits are more revealing than most underwear. I love women in swimming gear and undies to be fair… leaves things to the imagination!!

It's just the perception of the intended use of each thing.

Underwear isn't normally meant to be seen so people think it's more risqué than a bikini.

Interesting points being made!

It actually came about as we go to Centre Parcs a lot, and having our mindsets, love to eye up other couples etc when walking about.

And if you get lucky and timing is right you can see the same couple undressed in swimwear, bikinis etc later that day in the pool, spa!

Just got us thinking what's the difference. Clearly there is a difference between lace, crotchless and likes but between tight fitting bikini and a skimpy bra and panties made of lycr! Very little x

Agreed. I've always thought the same, a bikini and underwear are fundamentally no different, and both can vary in how revealing they are.

And men being allowed to go topless and not women is outrageous!

I normally just wear bikini bottoms on holiday. I have just warn a thong occasionally when I've not had a bikini xx

Was on a beach this year and some American girls stripped off to their lacy knickers near me with one saying its ok all the girls do it in Europe . Was a very nice treat
