I had an epiphany Nov last year.

I have dealt with a boss who does not listen. constant arguments between me pushing for change and a brick wall. I fought to get equipment, uniforms and other items over the last 6 years of my working life. To push the boundaries to help my team.

Took the bullets when the shit went down.

I realised that the reason why the department is as good as it is, is because of me. Not my Boss!!

The reason why the department grew is because of me.

Me. Nobody else. He took the credit. I was the donkey.

The reason why the department isn't working as well now. Is because I stopped fighting. I stopped arguing in a toxic work place.

He is retiring and leaving March 31st. Cannot fucking wait!!!

I find it very hard today. But, I have a quick witted dry and sometime quirky sense of humour. My dark sense of humour pops up when I joke when I really shouldn’t.
