What did you really enjoy in 2021?

When you look back on the year, what stands out for you as a great moment?

I'm going to have a think about mine and let you know.

North West

This holiday is pretty high up the list. The rest has been working, working, working, vaccinating, dad-wrangling and other stuff.

Being involved in the vaccine programme has been very rewarding but took a lot out of me because I was working 6 or 7 days a week for months, including on my annual leave and bank hols.

It's been the first full year in my Spanish home and it does now feel like a home and not just a house.

I've had the time to do some great house improvements and get out and explore some of the nearer mountains.

I've made new friends in the village and got back to the UK to meet my newborn Great Niece for the first time.

And today is really sunny!

Personal and fab life rolled into one this year to create the highlight of this year when after months of wanting to meet TG we (I) finally asked to meet and the rest is history as they say.

Sometimes taking the chance on someone who is out of your league is with the risk of rejection.

Ps. I still think I’m punching

.

Lots of things, work recognition, going down a dress size. Reconnecting with an old friend and all that's followed. The Manchester social. It's been a good year - at the start of it I had a difficult time but I'm ending on a definite high.

Advocating for my own health, getting somewhere and being right above all the professionals telling me otherwise.

HCPs don't know your gut feeling like you do. Mine saved my life so if you say I'm pretty smug about it you'd be right.

I've got a backbone though and will say exactly what I think.

I dread what others feel if they're going through the same thing but don't have the confidence to speak up.

Meeting up with old swinging friends and making a new one has to be up there ,

Vanilla ? It’s been a bit blah , 15 months or so of furlough , haven’t been able to go home and see my parents …. Great friends and an amazing family have lightened the mood though and I am grateful to them all

Highlight for me has been being proactive with my socialising and meeting some humans that I adore and are now very much part of my normal life. Can’t put a price on friendship

surrounded by twinkly lights

Spending the weekend at alton towers during scarefest and all the scare mazes was pretty epic for the memories and I've not laughed so much for years

The Manchester social was a close second, my inner party girl was fully released after a 2 year hibernation

Advocating for yourself is so important. Sometimes I stand up to be the voice of people who can’t do that and yes it’s got me in to trouble at times

Nobody knows your own body like you do, and I always suggest people go with their gut.

So, you have every right to feel smug.

I wish you a speedy recovery and well wishes xxx

Stand out moment was placing on the podium in a professional industry wide competition. I still can’t believe the work me and my team did was recognised in front of 80 odd other talented teams

Loads, getting back in the gym and finding a consistent nutrition regime is a big one.

Also got back into playing cricket this year after a few years out.

On Fab, speaking to some great new people and I visited my first group social and club
