Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The casting couch is cliche but people still report it.

Groupies, another cliche but one we can recognise.

Now the Jimmy Saville story.

Will the culture of collusion on abuse ever end?

Not as long as the media sensationalise, people get money for stories told and hell freezes over.

Thanks, Femme. I agree with your points.

I can't think of another industry where it would still be acceptable for sexual abuse to ensure you got the job or the cover-up of abuse would happen. The tag celebrity and the fame hungry seem to foster a whole different set of rules.

Its a double edged sword as i see it....there will also be allegations that are unfounded, but by the time the media, and certain support groups have had their pound of flesh....the person who has had allegations made against them is trussed up like the proverbial chicken and well and truly stuffed. Sad but true.

as an aside, the police had to officially name the guy they arrested yesterday due to locals naming him on Facebook last night...

there is little or no control over the naming of people with no proof of actual wrong doing just suspicion. Once names, you can't take it back..... and it sticks

So true. No one actually needs a memory now either. All accusations and stories are just a few key strokes away.
