Women Who Meet Women Alone - Gather Here!

Hello!

Just thought I would set up a group on here as many women have said it’s hard to meet other women alone through Fab.

If you are interested in chatting, just introduce yourself and tell us what you are up to today.

It’s pissing down with rain here. I was supposed to go for a run but my right knee seems to be acting up I’d better stay here and eat Christmas food!

What are you up to today?

Hey, good morning all

Unfortunately I’m working today, however it is from home! So I’ve set up camp in my bed with some snacks and bits to get me through the day.

Pissing down outside so thankful to be warm and cosy.

Xx

I’ve just received a positive result for covid so I am in bed and have been for the last 3 days. I feel better now, but still have to stay home and feel sooo guilty because I know it is mayhem at work and they are understaffed as it is… but not much I can do!

Rest of the day in the warm I think.

I’m in the covid club too! I tested positive on Christmas Eve so I’ve only got tomorrow left of solitary confinement I’m allowed to play outside from Friday!

I’m glad you’re feeling better!

Away with the faeries

Hi! I am meeting friends today.

Really wonderful friends whom I've not seen for nearly 2 months.

The sun needs to come out now as I feel like I've not seen it for nearly 2 months (I'm sure I'm exaggerating)

It has been difficult finding women who want to meet one on one. I recently did a search and cast the net to within 75 miles of my location. The results gave me less than 25% of users who had been online within the last month.

I wonder if this is the equivalent of the single male doing the same, writing messages and getting sweet nothing back?

I'm going to do some business paperwork as I'm isolating, so may as well make some productive use of my time.

Also easily getting distracted by looking at lots of lovely people on here.

I would love a female FWB but finding someone is easier said than done. I keep on hoping

Probably. I fully sympathise with single males, it must be very difficult for them.

Morning!

Got home from work at 10 after a free breakfast and good coffee.

Unloaded the stupidly cheap Christmas haul for a get together on NYE (dodgy moment when I over estimated my bike panniers capacity), popped a fresh pot of coffee on and pickled massive amounts of rescued red cabbage I'd shredded, salted and weighted yesterday whilst listening to Womans Hour.

Currently supping said fresh coffee (with added ground cacao nibs) and contemplating my next thing for today although I really want to know if Granny G cleaned or went out.

It’s wierd I don’t consider myself a runner when I’m at a race! I always start near the back so I can feel good passing a few people! I did my last half marathon in October and got a PB of 2:40 (my mind flaked out on me the last mile). I had a place on the London marathon but pulled out. The training was well hard. So the v best of luck with your training!

I think we’re all runners, from the ones who do the occasional couple of miles or a parkrun, to the elite ones who qualify for the LM just for their time!

That is a good time for a HM. My PB is 2hr 6min for the Gatwick HM bit that eas a while ago! i will probably do about 2:45 for the Thorpe one in February…

Yes I should and could be better utilising the quiet time to get work done but I honestly have no motivation for it and so I have grabbed a cuppa and returned here.

"I've done this on occasion.

We're heading over to mine today and getting ready for new year.

C

Love your photos. Ate you actually on a cruise now?

Thank you We're home now, though my phone is still on Caribbean time ...there's not quite the same incentive to get up when the sky isn't so inviting, so the duvet remains!

C

Good holiday? Favourite island? "

It was great, despite the stress of actually getting out there - COVID red tape and PCR test results not coming back in time, meaning we missed our flight. We missed a couple of islands too due to ports denying entry (COVID on board)... All that said, we had a great time. St Maarten is somewhere we'd probably go back to.

"I would so much love to have a girlfriend or more than one… hahaha xxx

There’s been much talk of a girly social even from the times when I joined a few years ago. We should do one sometime. Or if they’ve already happened, then invite me… haha x

Thanks for the get well wishes xx

I’ve seen many a thread about putting a social event together on here but maybe (like you) I’ve never been invited! Let’s see how this thread goes over the next few weeks….then who knows.

I can barely see the emojis on here when I’m choosing them.

Yes, it’d be amazing!

I notice you’re a runner, OP… love your photos! I managed to defer my place at the London Marathon for this year as the vaccines really threw my training out of whack… I need to start training as soon as I am able to! First ever marathon for me, I’ve done a few halves though and many 10ks!

My PB is 2hr 6min for the Gatwick HM bit that eas a while ago! i will probably do about 2:45 for the Thorpe one in February… "

Wow!! Good time on your half! I’ve decided to drop down to 10k & 5k as I’m knocking on a bit and don’t want to have any long term injuries!!!

Rest of the day in the warm I think.

Happy with the hairdo? "

It was just the usual colour to hide the grey and a trim hard to get excited when going out is still difficult.

However I’m getting the ferry tomorrow to go to France so hoping I’m still negative for my official test and will have to quarantine for 2 days until I take a negative test so no exciting New Years Eve party for me (although my pet/house sitters are going to one when they leave) Happy New Year to you all

Hi!

Regarding distance, I often think this as well and then I've been to a couple of clubs and talking to women there, suddenly realise that people have travelled a little bit of a distance to get there.

Do you have clubs out your way (if that's something you're interested in)?

Yes I hope so too. My hair doesn’t go grey evenly so I stick with the roots and highlights - some people have lovely grey hair but mine isn’t.

Hey Ruby Fun!

I have had some success but it has been intermittent at times. I last dated or chatted with anyone else 20 years ago (when I bagged her and we married and had 3 kids), so I am no expert in pulling women let alone approaching one. I am never sure whether they are interested or not - which is so different from blokes!

So anyone want to share some pulling tips?

I find that hard but the other way around. We go to clubs always together but Id like to chat more to ladies - I think the ones I like maybe think were looking for ffm so don’t say hi. And I’m still in the wallflower stage lol … so find it hard to make the first move etc. Darling husband said we should wear badges saying what we’re hoping for lol … it was a joke but could make that breaking the ice small talk easier sometimes maybe

Just back from a spa break … it was lovely

Ideally, an LBT+ space would be ideal as you could assume people are there to meet, socialise, flirt, fuck or just watch. The queer scene in London back in the day was awesome. I came out at uni and moved to London to get into the scene and meet other people like me. They had loads of women-only events where you could confidently go on the pull or be pulled. The bi-nights seem a bit trickier to read for me.

I will always chat to couples but I always wait to be approached, don’t know why. But yes, most times I will assume the interest is there for an FFM (which I am fine with as long as I am attracted to both halves) but it is more difficult to chat/flirt with ladies when the male half is there… at least for me.

Which is why this thread was a great idea!

The couple dynamic at clubs is tricky, isn't it. The barrier seems to be there and women are still outnumbered.

Good morning and thank you!

I read The Picture of Dorian Gray in my 20's (I think) and loved it so brought and read most of Wilde's other pieces of work. The original of the book is really good - it's an old B&W movie. The new one that came out a few years ago was shite. I am a comic geek and have managed to get 2/3 of my children into Marvel or Batman!

You are right about voices and how they sound to us, I think I sound like a cheeky cockney from an Oliver Twist movie!

The couple dynamic at clubs is tricky, isn't it. The barrier seems to be there and women are still outnumbered.

Have you ever been to BGHS? Or did you mean a cucumber-over-the-eyes sort of spa? "

Posh girl putting cucumbers over your eyes!

Good morning to you all!

Just to let you know that the cut-off point for this thread is 175 messages. If we are getting close to that I will set up another thread to enable us to carry on chatting.

I have to read a 500-page document and give feedback and questions by 12.30 pm but am getting distracted by the news about Ghislaine Maxwell being found guilty. Have nothing but respect for the victims who gave their testimony and survived the b cross-examination from Maxwell's legal team.

On a lighter note, Creme Eggs are on sale now! How many days until Easter?

"Evening all.

I've had a relaxing day, been out for a late lunch with a friend (bless her, she on crutches, as broke her foot).

Everyone on here seems so far away

Hi!

Regarding distance, I often think this as well and then I've been to a couple of clubs and talking to women there, suddenly realise that people have travelled a little bit of a distance to get there.

I have been to BGHS a few times, yes, and I really like it! it would be a great place for us all to meet up- especially as it is quiet during the day…

A cucumber slice-over-your-eyes ahd Mimosa kind of spa sounds delightful too…

You’ve inspired me! I’m going to go for a short run and hope:

1. My knickers don’t fall down to rest at the bottom of my arse.

2. I put my running shorts on the right way around (the label has washed off) so I don’t spend all of my run pulling them up.

Welcome to the group! I am just back from Aldi and my daughter staged an intervention when I started filling the trolley up with cheap Xmas chocolate.

I am watching Deep Impact on Channel 4. The world is so much better when Morgan Freeman is in charge!

It's not easy and if you read back some of us have had success and some not so much - but lets hope you can find someone in this space.

"There have been a few "ladies only" organised socials over the border here in South Wales, I've never been as I much prefer our fun as a couple, but they seem to have been very well attended.

When we first joined fab and started going to clubs there used to be an evening event called jugs (just-us-girls) at Cupids x

Love the name! I should rename the group to Jugs!"

Unsure if I count as female enough to be joining in, and certainly don't want to derail the thread by giving licence for every casual hpw to jump on. Psylocke maybe pm me if it's okay for me to be here? If the answer is no, then truly I'm not going to be bitching about it. Because although transwomen are women, and I would be upset if people like Kylie or Rachael_x were excluded, I openly admit that I self-identity more as bi-gendered than fully trans. Gender can be a huge morass of argument and anger, and I genuinely don't want to have the thread descend into that cesspool... Besides, Psylocke it's your thread, your choice of who is invited.

Not sure how long I get to delete a post (never done it yet!) but if the answer is no and I get the message quickly enough, I'll delete this post...

Anyway hope all had a good Christmas, and wishing everyone all the best for the coming year. Hugs, Polly xxx

Hello Polly

Thank you for your message and as long as you identify as a female and want to meet females that is fine by me. I am going to state this in the new thread. x
