I don't know. I'm not in my 40's yet.

I won't be able to say that for much longer, so I am making the most of it!

Yeah, you know what, I think I really am happier now. So much is sorted out that wasn't before, and I'm lot more at ease with myself now.

Oh, and back in my 20's I'd have been really shocked by the thought of swinging - now I just enjoy so much more that life has to offer.

Maybe the body gets tired a little faster, but everything else is better.

Past 40 mark, but I feel more confident in myself, feel I have nothing to prove. Having said that, only feel 20 in my head hehehe

Goodness me, yes. Far more comfortable and confident in my own skin, realised I don't need to be part of a couple to feel happy and complete. Got two beautiful children both starting to make their way in the world. Life is good.

Not got long left in my 40's tho!

I'm very happy in myself now than when I was in my early 20's. im more confident, more secure in myself and know what I want.

Age Is just a number but you can't beat experience and that only comes with a few years under your belt.

I hated my teens, 20s gave me the opportunity to see the world, 30s were fantastic as it gave me chance to put all the knowledge I had gained to good use land personal exploration, 40s is great. very happy about who I am

Honestly I'd have to say I was more confident in my early to mid 20s. Found myself questioning a lot of things and withdrawing over the last few years, but this year has seen it slowly start to climb again. If it keeps going this way I'll be one very confident happy bunny in my 40s

My 40s are definitely the best years so far.

However, I only have another 2+ years to go before I hit half century.

I look forward to being 50, and have already started to plan how to celebrate it.

More self confidence, both mentally and physically. I'm away from a destructive relationship, my children are older and have blossomed. I have gained control in some aspects of my life and get less stressed by the judgements and opinions of others.

No life isn't perfect, but I'm a lot happier than I was 20 yrs ago.

20's was hell... yes I had lots of energy that seems to have been misplaced over the years, but I worked 80 hours a week as we had no money, had two young kids so only one of us could earn etc.

Hit 30's and it leveled a bit, had enough cash in the bank for holidays more importantly if something broke had cash ready to replace it so no stress.

Hit 40's kids left home mortgage paid on two houses and pleasure replaced work as primary focus of life.

Not complaining about any decade, but stress and fear have been put away so I am probably happier now than 20 years ago.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was much thinner but felt less attractive.

It was the pregnancy and sickness years as I was diagnosed with lupus. Older I can't get pregnant and my health has improved.

Some things are worse but overall I am more content in my 40s than I ever felt in my 20s.

No, not in the slightest. 20's were brilliant. Young, fit, lots of single friends, great social life, bouncebackability, carefree.

Oh to be Benjamin Button!

"And your mum did your washing for you?"

Uhm, the very early twenties, yes! To be honest -I don't find that doing washing impacts on quality of life too severely!

Each decade had its advantages, its moments of happiness and sadness - Life in your twenties is exciting for different reasons than in your thirties when many people have kids and families. I loved every stage tbh and I am very happy and content as I am now with different adventures and excitements on the horizon (including plans for a Harley but that is another story) - long may it continue.
