Who over indulged this Christmas?

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

With a lot of travelling up and down the country this Christmas I managed to avoid the usuals of over eating and drinking and feel so much better for it.

Other than a massive mixed grill one evening

I’m very much body focused moving into 2022 so I’m already feeling like a winner

Are you the same or was it a few days of over indulgence?

Are you looking for fight back or take the usual 12 months recovery time?

I’ve been too lazy, drink too much, but my eating hasn’t been too bad.

A few more days of resting, and back on it after the weekend

Not too much over indulgence with food, definitely drink but the biggest thing this year has been the money! Seems to get more expensive every year x

Of course I indulged. I was sick. I had to self isolate but didn't lose my sense of taste so I comforted myself in all the good food I ordered and made and no regrets. Yes I am probably rounder but nothing what few weeks of consistent diet and workouts won't solve again. I've got this. It was worth it

Very retrained this year. In fact provbably the first year I haven't put on weight - I just need to get back to the exercise to tone up. Happy days.

I restarted running yesterday after a 5 week break. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but fitness has obviously dipped.

I am starting a new virtual challenge on 1st January to run 268 miles during the month. I did it last year and have put pressure on myself to achieve it again. Having said that I have also signed up for a marathon in March and so January's running will give me a great kick start for that training plan.... hopefully.

Do you have running goals for 2022?

Definitely prioritised quality over quantity this Christmas, and spread the goodies out over a few days rather than trying to cook / eat / drink everything on one day.

Nice to enjoy good food, wine, company without getting pissed, stuffed, bloated.

Still looking forward to a quiet jan / Feb and shifting a few lbs though

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

Not even a little bit of overindulgence here. Covid removed my appetite, ability to taste and mostn of my sense of smell. Plus made me sleep for approximately 39 hours a day for over a week.

But it wasn't as bad this time as the first time I had it. And I couldn't afford to buy exciting Christmas crap to eat anyway. So #winning

I'm banishing the idea of over. I indulged yes. Enjoyed every second of it, the love of food is hardwired into every part of my mixed heritage. I'll be back to my lifestyle changes come the start of next week; I enjoy feeling and seeing the physical changes too much. Plus I'm craving fresh goodness - I went to M and S this morning to buy a heap of fruit.

We were on a cruise with food and drink included so of course the over indulgence happened but not as bad as expected.

More alcohol than food as we aren’t big drinkers normally but the hot sun was forcing us to drink cocktails (they didn’t taste like they had alcohol in them either ).

Strict food intake in January, that we stuck to in September and October will help

I've eaten so much and enjoyed every mouthful.

I should stop but I'm off work until the 3rd.

I'll assess the damage at the end of January and then see what I'm going to do.

My body is not really a temple, more of a bouncy wonderland so while it's not ideal, I'm not in the right place to really dedicate myself to making the changes necessary to become a toned goddess

I feel if someone is looking for their child at a party, I might have eaten him if he was sat still for too long at the table. And if liquid is one of the heaviest things…. I’m pretty heavy right now.

"I indulged myself. I ate chocolate and shortbread as and when I wanted it. I'm moderate the rest of the year with the exception of holidays and birthdays. I don't look at it as over indulgence just a welcome break from routine "

Pretty much what i feel. I’ve worked my arse off during the year for my gains and losses. I shall enjoy these few days before returning to my routines fully.

"With a lot of travelling up and down the country this Christmas I managed to avoid the usuals of over eating and drinking and feel so much better for it.

Other than a massive mixed grill one evening

I’m very much body focused moving into 2022 so I’m already feeling like a winner

Are you the same or was it a few days of over indulgence?

Are you looking for fight back or take the usual 12 months recovery time? "

You’re saying this as if it’s in past tense….opens up the box of Fox’s biscuit selection

"I've just realised I still have all the new years goodies to work through

Haha

You need to come and help

I will then a cheeky gym session afterwards "

I over indulged last year as I was by myself. This year at mum's, we ate enough but could have done with more. I'll be on the wine and nibbles on new year's eve though x
