How can a wink be anything BUT unsolicited? Surely that is the point of them.

Lots of people say that they ignore winks winks are handy if you get winks you can then check out the profile that winked sure that’s the whole idea anyway

Though would have to ask via skywriting or a double page spread in The Times! Or maybe that’s just to ask permission to fab their photos!

One puts in ones profile or status that one welcomes winks and messages I guess

I’d say that member is taking themselves a bit to seriously

Agree with this.

Personally I have a look at who winked and if someone looks good, happy to send a cheeky wink back.

It’s ridiculous to have to message to check if it’s ok to wink!

I see that and I just think they are full of themselves, OK so they don't respond to winks, fine but why the need to announce it and have to let the world know they're too good for that. Just do it n shut up, no one actually cares.

People are free to wink or not and the recipients are free to ignore or not.

I choose to ignore most of those I receive because we don't tick each others boxes and they obviously haven't read my profile. I don't delete winks though and that prevents them from doing it again.

It's the "I've posted a new pic and need all the fabs I can get to appear in hotpics" winks accompanied by an unsolicited friends request that is more eyerolling.

Perhaps the poster had spell check on and was annoyed by an unsolicited wank?

Exactly. It’s an ice breaker and hardly a block able offence.

In a town full of colours

A Wink is just a "I like you" sometimes two people who like each other will mutually wink and then the dance can commence

Its exactly the same as the majority of the dating sites

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

In response to any winks I receive I reply with a polite thank you message, common courtesy costs nothing.

They often turn out to be good ice breakers.

The block in this case says more about the person doing the blocking than the person who sent the wink. It's says their a fuckin idiot.

Think I was blocked the other day by someone for logging in. It's gone that bad with the blocking. And these are the same people who complain they had a quiet year on here this year. What do they expect? Goons.

I think a wink that is reciprocated is the green light into a cheeky little message! A must!!!
