Still eating left overs?

Got any people yet to

See?

Presents yet to open?

Decs still up?

What type of Xmas person are you? Decs down move on?

I feel a bit disappointed. I love Christmas, the build up and everything. And now it’s over.

I'd be happy to take the Christmas decorations down now but the rest of my family say it's too early.

Had a turkey and stuffing sandwich today, it was yummy.

I've not had Xmas yet. My Decs will stay up until my folks have been able to come here and do Xmas with me, if that's Feb then so be it.

But the build up can start again? Bargains in the sales to store for next year?

Most stuff will be down tomorrow and wish folk would turn off their Xmas lights now also.

They just look tacky!

I came back home after four nights at my parents. My sister and her husband are back in Ireland. We're both pleased we're back in our own homes. Pretty much says it all! I'm not a Xmas person at all x

The tree stays up here until 6th January.. possibly longer. I still have 1/3 panettone left and brandy butter and amaretto. But run out of cantuccini. Turkey was made into delicious soup. Nuts and sweets everywhere. If I get rid of it now it would be sad. So no.. let's keep the magic going.

London

I have been able to go home, that meant so much. Also, my traditions are somewhat different - Christmas is not just one day. It starts with Christmas Eve (the most important evening with 12 traditional dishes), then first day of Christmas with opening gifts and festive lunch, then second day of Christmas which is usually meant for visiting family members, then festive in-between time which is usually spent seeing friends and having parties then New Year's Eve.

I have decorated modestly at my own home, just some mistletoe branches in a small vase with some decorations but I did put a white tablecloth that I am keeping throughout to support the festive mood. At home my brother and I brought a fir tree from the forest. Crooked little thing (my family's Christmas trees are always crooked because we only cut those that won't grow, never cut a good tree).

I am seeing friends and play partners throughout this week, there is meant to be a munch as well which I am looking forward to. Somewhat forlorn after returning from family and from real winter but comforted by the life I made for myself in this amazing town.

Happy Yuletide everyone

Not had a Christmas dinner this year.

Still to have mince pies, and prezzies still to give and receive.

For the first time ever, I didn't put any lights or decorations up, or have a tree. It seemed a bit pointless as we were away.

Home now, so playing catch up.

Christmas pud for new year

I don't even like chocolate. They'll be in the cupboard for a while! At least when we babysit ours nieces/nephews we can send them back on a sugar high
