"Big bar of chocolate from my ex wife last Christmas. It’s still in my fridge (I like cold chocolate) I got her and her new husband two bottles of Baileys. She knows I’m not really fussed about chocolate, it’s ok but I can live without it. It seemed like a fuck you present, deliberately to send a message, no thought or care. I actually knew they both liked what I bought them. I doubt I’ll ever eat it, it can stay there as a reminder of what she truly is. " Some people gave me chocolate.... which is nice - it's expensive choc .... but i'm a vegan..... Still I can give it away I guess.

I spent a day taking my little ones across to the big shopping centre in Leeds to spend a not inconsiderable amount on presents for my ex wife (nominally from the children). Just to receive a mug and a packet of sweets back. Disappointed withe the lack of thought is an understatement. Mind you, there is a reason why we are divorced.

"Crafting sets. Judging from what my children were given for Christmas I'm expected to spend the next few weeks helping them make unicorn suncatchers, crotchet little toys, create a moving solar system planetarium, build two wind up classic cars, construct a wooden sports car and knit a unicorn. Oh, I forgot the weird foil pictures thing and make bead necklaces. I frickin' hate crafting " This made me laugh a lot. I feel the same when someone gives me flowers........ do I think thank you ( maybe a little bit ) I'm really thinking 'fuck me, I am cooking and greeting and now i have to find a fucking vase , prepare flowers for the vase and watch the fuckers die over the week ..... That's what i'm really thinking....
