Often (depending on the cause) the stop start / squeeze technique don’t work even remotely. I suffered with this until the age of 30, when I managed to completely overcome the problem by discovering the actual cause.
For me (and for a LOT of people) the cause is being programmed into automatically flexing the PC muscles; specifically the BC muscle (Bulbocavernosus muscle aka Bulbospongiosus muscle) - the muscles
I had always done this and assumed it was normal. The flexing was completely involuntary - as soon as my dick was touched, it would automatically twitch/flex upwards. I also used to flex whilst having sex, in an attempt to keep rock hard (took a LONG time to analyse this and to even realise this is what I was subconsciously doing).
Some recommend doing kegel exercises, but this often makes the problem worse, as they are flexing the BC muscle instead of the Pc muscle.
I could talk about this in great detail for a long time and am happy to discuss if anyone would like to, but essentially, go and masturbate and simulate having sex (with your hand or similar) and take note as to whether you are tensing the muscles that you use to stop piss - if you are, in any way, then this is where your problem likely stems from.
Start TOTALLY RELAXING all muscles around the Perineum, pelvic floor area and Google the BC muscle.
Note that this is not a quick fix; it takes a lot of conscious effort to ensure that all the penile muscles are as relaxed as possible and this is going to be very difficult if you’ve been involuntarily flexing these muscles for probably many many years.
Imagine trying to push out a turd and a piss at the same time (try it)… you are now fully relaxing all of the muscles that need relaxing (particularly the BC muscle). Practice relaxing these muscles throughout the day several times (nobody will know).
Tensing the BC muscle speeds up ejaculation and many men are doing this subconsciously / involuntarily, and are believing that this is how things are supposed to be; it isn’t. One school of thought is that this is learned as a teenager, when trying to ejaculate quickly while masturbating - what do you do? You tense all the muscles of the perineum and voila. This then becomes a learned behaviour and it is very very difficult to recondition oneself to stop doing this.
Of course, if your muscles are already completely relaxed when masturbating and there are no involuntary flexing / twitching movements, then the problem may be something else, but for the majority who have tried all commonly recommended advice such as start-stop, squeeze, thinking about the queen taking a dump, and nothing works, then this is almost certainly where the issue lies.
Here is a good thread that explains in more depth what I have touched upon above. https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/i-have-discovered-the-biggest-reasons-for-premature-ejaculation-and-super-simple-fix.109536/
Took me probably 12 months of conditioning and practicing and now I’m as relaxed as a lettuce and can last as long as I like.
Previously it was torture.
All the very best and if this helps one person to become free of this frustrating and embarrassing problem, then absolutely fantastic.
