Greenwich, SE LONDON

We are thinking about getting a Tempur mattress, but have seen some posts about memory foam making sex more difficult.

Has anyone had any experience of these over the more conventional sprung type mattress?

From my experience it is harder because you sink down into the mattress

We have a nectar foam mattress. It's very rigid. We don't feel the other climbing into bed.

Depends how long you stay in the same position... Mix it up a bit more and you won't sink so much

Yes they pritty much useless in that department well my old one was

Just sank in to it for this one I opted for a spring one with a memory foam toper

That way you only sink to the springs

We have a tempur mattress and doggy can be a challenge, but some other positions are easier. You need ones where you can distribute your weight.

In a town full of colours

Riding him is hard work as no bounce to help, but you can grind deeper on him if he decides to buck with you, and not bounce off.

I just put a pillow under me and that works in missionary and frog leg doggy

We can't do spoon sex on that mattress due to sinkage

It can make some positions harder, and you don't get the same push back that you get from springs so it can make thrusting more tiring. But for slower and deeper sex it makes it easier in my opinion. And no squeaking springs is a plus.

I've just spent the village on an Emma hybrid one, please don't tell me they're crap for sex.

They are hit and miss. Great to start with but don’t last the course. Not that great for action, and can get over warm

In the summer. We’ve gone back to high quality sprung.

Crap you have to keep on turning the matress around every which way regularly to stop the ass groove forming.

We have one of these and they're amazing for sleep. Also no complaints in the sex department either

I had a foam mattress for years, it was awful for my back. Since I went back to springs it's been so much better.

Can't speak to what foam is like to shag on, though.
