I mean I love the kids faces on Christmas morning when they see all the magic of christmas but i'm so glad its over for another year, is all the stressing and planning worth it for one day when all I got was a hangover, several mental breakdowns, major overdraft charges, a untidy house and fatter than I was before?????????????

Bring on spring, a fresh start, more fabbing, probably more veg and less cake too

Same!

Today once the gifts were opened it was just a day of cooking, washing up and tidying ( not forgetting the Muuuum, can I have....)

I’m never normally like this so not sure what’s happened this year but I could quite easily take the decs down right now x

I’m in work at the moment and have been on nights for all of Christmas so far…

So I’ve got the whole thing to look forward to tomorrow. It’s going to be great seeing the kids open their presents from me, but not looking forward to cooking Christmas dinner for the little darlings after only 4 hours sleep

It's not over for me. Two ladies from work are coming over later in the week so we can have our not-so-secret Santa present swap, and have one or two other friends popping over, too, at some point.

Lazy day today it is, then!

You have just described all the reasons why I detest Christmas with the up most passion and why I do not prescribe to the modern Christmas anymore.

I Love Christmas!!! It’s really not been a stress, I’ve enjoyed buying gifts for people I care about and spending time with them. Hardly spent anything a couple of hundred in total and not really bought any extra food, a couple of boxes of Turkish delight. Had a quick tidy up this morning and the festivities and trips out are continuing for another few days. I don’t want it to end !

Why do people stress out eat junk drink excess and go overdrawn if they don’t even like it? No wonder they are miserable choosing ti d the things you don’t want

I don’t do any of that but once the kid has opened his gifts, it loses the appeal x

I much prefer Boxing Day. It's a very lazy, relaxing day in my house. We usually go to a (mock) hunt but just going on a long walk with our puppy after a nibble lunch instead.

I'd like to take the tree down though the puppy has been a mare with it!

Christmas is always worth it. I love Christmas. I don’t stress about it. Kids get what I can afford and I can eat all the chocolate I want. I am not keen on all the mess though. Stuff everywhere!

I'm still in my pj's in Mr P's new dressing gown while hes at work, slobbing on the sofa with the kids eating rubbish and watching films, super relaxed and much better than yesterday. I am looking forward to a long soak in the bath tonight with a few drinks when the kids have gone to bed, I shall browse the online boxing day sales too
