That's hard core, luckily not trying to sleep though and as you can tell that isn't going well.

I’d normally be in work till 4:30 am so this is normal functioning time for me. I’ll have my best sleep after lunch with a full belly!

Happy Christmas everyone.

Did mine last night and is now all in the fridge, ready to whack back in the oven to reheat. Tastes just as yummy and is less stressful than doing it from scratch later.

Can't really help with the turkey crown as we're having chicken. But my mum used to baste hers in butter..keeps it lovely and moist. Cook covered in tin foil and remove foil for last half hour of cooking.

Because that’s the official time that porks have to be cooked in Wales. I don’t make the rules.

Turkey prep, Slather a block of butter onto your breasts (promise this is still turkey prep), cover the skin with butter, push some butter between the breast and the skin, I don't go in too hard here being careful to not break the skin.

Salt and pepper. Cook on a little trivet of thickly cut veg.

Cooked the turkey last night, time for breakfast and coffee then I'll prep the veg and cook the stuffing.

I like to do the stuffing

And cook under foil, until the last half hour 40 mins. And then the most important, plenty of resting time.

I'm awake as I'm up at 2 45 am for work usually! So having a coffee! All those years of having little ones waking me early have long gone! Actually miss them days x

I'd rather be porking a cook than cooking a pork.
