Pictures and profile blurbs are what entices us in to create dialogue with others on here. What do you go for first?

Do the picture lead you to read about the person or does the great description and playful nature of their profile draw you into seeing if the attraction is there?

Will one do or is it a combination of the two?

Face attraction first, then words that show personality and similarities is the starting point.. then to conversation flow

Pictures first.

Profile second to check if there’s anything in their profile that would rule me out.

Pictures are the last thing I look at. Age, location and bio in that order. All are much more important than pics. You can have the most amazing portfolio but still be an ugly person.

When I send a message it tends to be about something written in the profile or something I've read on the forum (not often the latter, I tend to respond in threads rather than privately, but it does occasionally happen).

If there are photos on the profile I may have a look, but I can only think of two people I've ever messaged because of their photos - it's not normally what prompts me to start a conversation.

If someone messages me I look at their profile then at the message before I decide whether to respond. Pictures don't make much difference unless they're spectacularly grim and off-putting.
