It's been a pretty shitty year for a lot of people for a lot of reasons but what has been your best thing of 2021?

The best part of 2021 will be in about 10 days time so I can say "FUCK YOU 2021 AND GOOD RIDDANCE" apologies for the language but it has definitely been the worst year of my life

I wouldn't say there's been a stand out moment

But there's been many moments

The best part for me has been hitting a 10st fat loss milestone, cementing a huge turnaround in lifestyle and probably contributing to my still being here to tell the tale.

In July, the ending of masks and social distancing and clubs opening. That first dance in a club felt like freedom. And now?....

Surviving a particularly bad run of Covid.

Losing weight ... personal choice, and not as a result of Covid!

Continuing to help the children I work with.

The arrival of my baby niece. She’s unbelievably cute.

Discovering Fab of course!!

2021 was a massive improvement on 2020 where I lost so many people I cared about. From cancer, covid, suicide and heart break.

2021 has been a lot less sad for me. And we've started swinging this year which has improved our sex life, opened our relationship to more honesty and laughs and given us a lot of joy.

I'm much happier than I was a year ago

I'm glad of this thread. 2021 has been one of my worst but there has been some good stuff too. I ticked off two bucket list achievements and went on a couple of lovely family holidays.

I'm looking forward to next year and already planning some adventures.

Just over there

2021 has been exhausting, mentally and physically for me! Work has been a constant stress with impossible targets, long shifts covering those who can't work. My marriage ending (amicably) brings emotions that seesaws between sadness and excitement. I missed my friends and all the love and laughs desperately throughout.

Come on 2022! I am going to own you! This is going to be an awesome year with new adventures to conquer, crazy friends to make memories with and an extremely delicious lover to devour!

Manchester (he/him)

2021 started by moving in with my partner, getting engaged and starting to blend our two families.

By the halfway point in the year, it was clear that it was all lies and I set out on what was some of the hardest months of my life.

September saw me homeless, jobless, with all that I own in the back of my car and on the edge of everything. I thought that I was going to end up in a ditch somewhere!

It’s down to a few good friends that I’m not, one of which has fed me, put me up and supported me immensely.

Life has taken a bit upswing recently and I’m in a much better place now but I still have a lot to do in 2022

Work and business growth.

Better work life balance.

More time with family.

Improved mental health - glass now half full rather than half empty most of the time.

Started to get fit again.

Decided to go UNLOS at end of this year which will cure the forum addiction and claw back a good few hours a week

Best things of 2021 for me?

Ending up not meeting people I had arranged to…grateful for the universe stepping in and helping me avoid toxic people.

Getting made redundant the week before Christmas…a fitting closure to end the year and start a new one with new adventures.

Another vote for this response. This time last year I was fairly happy. Little did I know how bad it was going to be. Another lockdown would probably be good for me, nothing else can wrong stuck in the middle of 4 walls or could it?
