Somewhere In The Ether…

My earnest quest continues to post the most mundane thread ever to grace this forum and by Jove! - I think the title is mine for the taking tonight!

Good folks…….how often do you clean your skirting boards?

I should be knighted for my highly intelligent contributions to this forum, yes?

North Norfolk

Usually de dust them with the hoover brush attachment every time I hoover and spot clean when necessary. Never really thought about it before to be fair.

Get you... Skirting boards indeed. You'll be boasting about your dado and your archi-bleedin-trave next.

Every week and I hoover it up. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the layer of dust disappear. That's right, I said NOTHING!

I was going to do a thread about coving and the satisfaction of using a chalk line to align them but thought it was a bit too extreme

Skirting boards? Once every year maybe. Housework has got to be the most awful chore ever invented

Cool thread

Mine are vacuumed occasionally and washed down with a wet cloth on an approximately bi-decade basis.

Basically if I notice them looking grubby it means I should have cleaned them years ago. Luckily my kids are young enough to consider cleaning a fun game so they can be set the challenge of making it all sparkling

My nan’s spare room.

This thread is so dull that on such a grey wet day it should be like the skirting boards, dusted off.

somewhere

All my boards need painting they are all cracked from the previous tenants excellent paint job before we moved in, ok it's been 3 years and we still have got round to it, so I don't really do them.

I hoover the edges on a monthly basis or as an when I notice a build up, I do the bathroom boards bi weekly though as that is the only room I have decorated fully and want to keep it nice lol
