Waste of time most of them. I spend most of working day reallocating work to others because it gets passed to me just because of my title.

Staffs

I'm a MPL manager which basically means f all in my company as we all wear different hats depending on what needs doing that day

I can plan production for the next 3 months one day then the following day I'm sweeping the despatch yard ready for an important visit from a customer ....however I wouldn't change it for the world it's a job I like the company and no two days are the same

I have an old fashioned title. Then at work the assistant finance office manager starts bossing me around. I am so tempted at times to remind them I am paid twice as much as them. But these little busy body jobsworths wield so much power nowadays.

My job title doesn't make sense or even describe what I do!

I always say companies can call me what they want as long as it doesn’t reduce my day rate. Job titles mean nothing to me.

An old boss of mine came up with his own title. General Operations Director, he just liked the abbreviation

I have a really funny word in mine, which I can’t reveal as it’s too identifying, no one ever believes it.

InfoSec Analyst is my title.

But my field has a LOT of crappy titles (InfoSec Engineer/InfoSec Manager/Compliance analyst etc).

I used to remember it being InfoSec Analyst - InfoSec Manager - CISO - CIO. It was a clearly lined out path. Now it’s just utter wank.

It's up there with most things in today's life.

People seem to crave a label.

Sad really!

I am not an “a” I’m a “the” in the organisation I work for (of some 3000 people) It’s not the title that bothers me, it’s the fact I am the only one
