Dieting around the Christmas Holidays

If you're someone on a diet, would you ease it up during the holiday period or would you still maintain your discipline?

I used to in the ‘oh bugger it til January’ camp.

I’m now much more disciplined now and will eat nice stuff within my targets, while not being gluttonous.

Wouldn't call it a diet exactly. Trying to cut down on meat, which I'm doing right now.

But, I'll probably suspend that briefly for the Xmas period

I've been keto for 12 years and carnivore for almost three and to deviate from that is a disaster so no, I stick to all the lovely things I eat.

I eat very low carb for health reasons. I'll eat more carbs over Christmas because I love shortbread and sweets and I can just go straight back to normal after Christmas with very little effect on my health.

Nice nice, I might ease up on Christmas and Boxing Day but I'm entitled to a cheat meal once a week

Every one of us deserves a few days of guilt free eating. Look after your mental health as well as your physical. Treat yourself to whatever you want for a few days. Its what new years resolutions were made for.

My discipline slipped when the clocks went back. It doesn't help that the fitness classes/bootcamp I went to are all outdoors, it just makes it so hard to go and do workouts in the sub zero temperatures, wind and rain.

The way I eat is as much to keep me feeling healthy and comfortable (ibs mainly), as well as weight control, so I might take the odd day off, I’ll generally stick to my normal eating plan.

good! I really don't like to see people's enjoyment of food spoiled by guilt
