So the guy who I had been chatting to and planned to meet on Friday appears to have left fab without saying goodbye. Not the first time this has happened to me and probably won't be the last. Not the end of the world but still annoying.

His loss consider it a lucky escape but it’s disappointing when you’ve invested all that time and effort.

Sometimes people don't get the chance to say goodbye if the account has been suspended or removed.

I'd not take it to heart, people leave for many reasons, it's probably nothing to do with you. I'd guess this place is pretty low on most people's list of priorities.

You’re very beautiful OP and it’s definitely his loss. He obviously wasn’t serious about meeting up with you and it’s better that you found out sooner rather than later. You’re not going to struggle to find other men who want to meet up with you and some of them might even be genuine. Good luck OP.

I just know that if I had changed my mind or had an emergency I would have messaged to say so to the person I had planned to meet. A message takes 10seconds to send.

A lot like the thrill of the chase. They get cold feet once arrangements have been made. At least it's happened now and you won't waste your time getting ready etc.

It's still not nice though

oh I agree, its horrible when people just disappear off the radar. Its just the guy will probably get a drubbing on here and he isn't here to defend himself.

Its still not nice for you

As bad as it is when someone goes missing before a meet it’s even worse when they do it after a meet because then you have to go over everything you said and did with them in your head and analyse it to try and work out if you did something wrong to make them lose interest.

Maybe he's just emulating the approach of Spanish commander Hernán Cortés during the 1519 Spanish conquest of Mexico, when he infamously ordered his men to “burn the boats”?

He did this to ensure that the only choices his men had were to emerge victorious or die.

Perhaps he is deleting his Fab account so that he ensures his only two choices are woo you into bed or never have another fab meet again.

Either way, this individual sounds pretty unstable and you're probably better off avoiding him.

How did that work out for Hernan Cortes and his men? Did they emerge victorious or all die? They could also have been captured alive by the enemy and held as a prisoner, enduring years of torture and neglect, so there was a third option for them.

What sort of emergency, other than your wife discovering, means your first thought is to remove your Fab profile?

This is an excellent point, the poor man is being slated for not messaging you and just disappearing when he could have send a really apologetic message, explaining everything, in a polite and respectful way, without realising that you wouldn’t be able to see it once he deleted his profile.
