"John Lewis was the 2 snowpeople who fell in love "

Yes that was their best one. Never lived back up to the hype after that.

"John Lewis was the 2 snowpeople who fell in love "

John Lewis always seems to be a winner, but I did like the shoplifting snowman that year.

Only this years 2021 entries.

Clue: it's not John Lewis.

Which one? Theres a of poster white couch on a black background hovering over a golden harp.

Or the white closed sign swinging from atwo chords, just like a open/closed sign?

And from the late-mid 1990s two black wheelie bins in the snow, with an inch of snow on top of their lids.

I did have the official book of Gunnies ads, but that wasn't in it.

My favourite Xmas advert was the John Lewis one with the boxer dog on the trampoline

They had a good run with a winning formula. Slow 189980's ballad, a story line without words and a bittersweet tale to tell. Both the song and the story matched each other.

I don't know what went wrong but the face mask/bus advert from last year sucked.

This year's entry, nearly got there. But why use `our friends electric'?

When there is a more apt song from Chris de Burgh...A spaceman came travelling.

Surely that makes more sense and it is the right time of the year, to use it.

"My favourite Xmas advert was the John Lewis one with the boxer dog on the trampoline "

There was a really sad one , about an old man and his dog out in the snow...it wasn't the official ad, but it did look bloody convincing.

In the ALDI ad there are two snowmen that jhave lost their heads. Surely that's a knock at John Lewis for losing the plot.

All the best ads have a certain something.
