Seaforth

If you were told that you could only listen to 1 yes 1 song for the rest of your life, what song would it be?

Take me to the dance by Freshlyground. They are or were a South African group.

“Suppers Ready” by Genesis, the original album version with Peter Gabriel on vocals…

It is like five different songs in one anyway and is totally brilliant

What a conundrum! I don't think I could choose just one.

Zadok the priest maybe or one of Beth Hart's or Gregory Porter's. I'd only be able to listen once a fortnight so I didn't get fed up.

There are loads, but I think I would be in peace if I had to listen to High Hopes by Pink Floyd forever.

Interpreting song to also include a single piece of music. Probably Beethoven’s 5th. Is that allowed?

Otherwise Metallica’s “one”

Rochester, Kent

The sound of silence.

(Literally, not the song. I think any one song will get irritating very quickly. I can live without music)

Yes, to the aboveactually it's seven and I've got the T-shirt. Yes this sits up there with Led Zep and Queen's epics. But it was never released as a single, so I I've only heard it once EVER on Polish radio. 23+ minutes might be the reason why.

It'll be 50 years old next year!

Classic Rock said...

"Constructed from seven distinct parts that form a jagged musical whole, it instantly rose to become perhaps the most famous and influential musical adventure in a genre then bursting its creative banks with all-time classic tracks: the template for the ornate, classically influenced, lysergically-charged, heroically daft, peculiarly English variety of progressive rock that then ruled the world."
