Thinking about making roast nuts and Scottish whisky tablets as Christmas presents this year.

Anyone else making edible gifts?

Every year my children always make gingerbread for their grandparent and great-grandparents. They put so much effort in right down to making their own boxes and decorating. They are always appreciated more and any other gifts

I'm useless at crafts so think I'll leave it to the children lol

I think more and more people are making home made gifts. There was a few threads on it last year. In this day and age i think people appreciate them far more. We all have to make cutbacks. I have six friends and we know longer buy for each other we do a secret santa.

I love homemade gifts..

I want to give some children meerkats but im struggling with the ears lol

I used to make savoury bites with puff pastry. However, it takes a lot of efforts - for a start, I would need to clear sufficient space on the kitchen worktop in order to use it for pastry work.

Roast nuts and tablets would be easier to make.

Also dark chocolate honeycombs. They would go down well too!

Yes. Last year we made hampers with homemade chilli Jam, homemade fudge, a personalised tree bauble and a bottle of wine. They went down very well and we'll be doing something similar this year.

This is our 1st year with an allotment so I think people will mainly be getting jam! 1st batch was over cooked so we better get practicing! We did plan to make elderflower cordial but didn't get our bums in gear in time. Looks like we're gunna have a hell of a lot of sprouts too :-\

I'm only like that with people who steal money off me whilst professing to love me - so long as you avoid that, me and you will be fine
