There are many and still many hold true for their allegory and metaphor ... What's your favourite? From 1001 Arabian nights, aesops fables, hans Christian Anderson..and I'm sure there are many others not in the "now that's what I call fairy tales" collection....

Had a book on Aesop's Fables and the Brother Grimm collection of fairy tales. The Fox and the Crow is my favourite fable and probably applies a lot to Fab

its a fascinating subject. I think Sleeping Beauty is probably one of the most laden with allegory and metaphor.

Ohhhh I forgot about the brothers grimm! Good shout..

I find so many still relevant.. The wind and the sun... Sometimes one can achieve through persuasion that which cannot be achieved by force...

I love that one! I remember when a teacher told us that story in school and it blew my tiny brain
