Only time ive eaten the stuff is using it as a substitute for minced beef when i make a bolognese. Needs a heavy amount of seasoning to mask that flavour

I like it but I prefer bacon grill over spam and tend to buy that if it’s available.

Will get spam if it’s not

When I was growing up up in the 70’s & 80’s it seemed like every family had a few tins of spam or corned beef in their cupboard.I still enjoy a spam sandwich on white bread from time to time.

It’s very popular at the sandwich cabin I call at. Not for me though.

It's so bloody expensive! I swear it's cheaper to buy a proper ham than tinned spam.

If I make fried rice I tend to dice some up and fry it into that - no amount of expensive ingredients makes it taste the way spam does.

What sort of cost are we talking about. It sounds as if its more expensive than a wagyu steak
