Depends what it is. Something mess and crumb free, maybe. Or if the bedsheets are going to be changed that day, breakfast in bed is acceptable. When ill is also acceptable. Otherwise no. It was one of the first things to be banned when I moved in with my partner . He always ate in bed in his old flat and I hated the crumbs or even bits of sweetcorn/lettuce/blobs of sauce when he was d*unk .

I would accept food being served to me in bed by a busty lady wearing only an apron.

I wouldn't choose to dine in bed though.

If it’s brought to me then it’s rude not to really.

However this is a very rare occurrence so it doesn’t happen unless the bacon came from a flying pig.

Hear here sista!

We have those cushiony soft bottom lap trays and we eat everything from cakes and coffee to a full English fry-up! But then I have a 60 inch telly in the bedroom and we have indulgent cold, wet, dark Sundays in bed!

Eating in bed is only acceptable when the husband brings me breakfast in bed or someone's ill.

I can't stand crumbs in my bed

I've never really understood why I'd want to, but fair play to anyone who does.

I won't even drink a cuppa in bed (if I'm lying down it goes everywhere and if I'm sitting up I'd rather sit on my sofa) so I appreciate my views are a bit out of whack with the general consensus!

Strawberries, with clotted cream, or squirty cream, with a bottle of bubbly in the ice bucket at the side of the bed has been known to happen. You can have a lot of fun with strawberries and squirty cream, not to mention the sensations that you can get with the ice cubes in the bucket.
