... Like to shop cheap for your food and drink? Or do you like to buy the fancy *sexy voice* "Taste the difference! Mmmm yeeaah" brands?

Are you like me where youre forced to shop cheap? Or do you not see the point in buying into the more expensive brands? (Although admittedly id still shop cheap even if i were loaded)

Honestly ive had branded stuff and there really is very little difference to the cheap stuff, for the most part anyway, some items do have a slightly better quality to them but i dont feel it really justifies the huge jump in price. These days i spend around £20-25 a week and i get a solid 4 meals, healthy foods and the odd luxury item here and there. Although most of them do require a fair amount of prep and time cooking.

Earlier i picked up a 10" pepperoni pizza for just 66p and it was loaded with pepperonis and actually tasted really nice, BARGAIN!

I’m a thrifty shopper. I will choose price over taste/reputation always. Most cooking I do involves the use of many herbs or spices so I can jazz up the most mundane ingredients. £50-60 will prep me 30-40 meals if I’m smart.

I spend a fortune on food, although it’s better now I’m dieting!

Branded stuff but on special offer is pretty much my goal.

Look for bargains get discount in tesco and sainsburys as I work in one and daughter in the other sainsbury's 15% of till 4 jan x

Ive never shopped at aldi but its basically just another form of lidl, i freaking love shopping at lidl! Though some stuff at lidl is actually pretty crap, their non-branded bread doesnt last very long before it has to be chucked

Lidl bakery is elite though. The focaccias are so nice

Aldi have great bread! Their tiger bread is very nice. Only thing I don't like is their fruit and veg doesn't seem to last very long at all, usually see it's ready for throwing out after a day...

Make croutons out of stale bread. Make smoothies out of fruit. Vegetables, hmmm, carrots could go in smoothies.

I just buy supermarkets own brand. Never been a labels person. I like the bags of misshapen and "imperfect" fruit and veg. All tastes the same to me.

Most things taste similar, I don't go out my way to get branded stuff.. supermarkets own does the trick for most things. Only thing I can't compromise on is rola cola, that's the taste of the devil

I shop in tescos because I know where everything is and I know everyone who works in there. It's that adult interaction which I don't have much of besides my husband (I WFH). I'd rather pay more for my food to have a pleasurable shopping experience.

Also if people struggle to buy food there is an app which sells food cheaper at the end of each day. Not sure if you're allowed to mention it here? But a quick Internet search and you'll find it
