Super cold

Anyone heard of, or had this, "super cold" I've been hearing about?

I've had a cold since Monday, but carried on as you do. By Thursday eve I had to take to the sofa with a duvet and havent moved far since. Every morning this week it has got progressively worse.

Colds don't put me on my arse, has covid made me weak? Have colds had special services training? Wtf is going on? I can't even face booze. Send help.

It's proper terminology is Manflu.

But yes I something like this, I was convinced I'd Covid, but I got a negative antigen and PCR. Feel shit the last two weeks, missed work, no energy, no taste or smell, sore throat, coughing up all sorts, I'm heading into week three and still no change

Omg yes. I’ve had it. Im a lot better then I was but I still wake up a little congested and with a sore throat. Never had a cold floor me like the flu before without it being the flu. I took covid tests daily too as I couldn’t stop coughing. I think our immune system are weak where we haven’t socialised and masks etc and social distancing so the simple cold is making people a lot more sick than it would usually.

This makes sense. My immune system is getting a work out this week tho. Blimey.

It's just a really shitty dose doing the rounds, it will shift itself eventually.

I think bugs have had some time off while we were all locked up. They’ve been training hard to kick our arses again, and we’ve gotta go through a whole raft of getting them and fighting them off to weaken them again.

I’ve had more bugs in the last couple of months than I’ve had for years.

I had it for about 8 weeks. It just wouldn't clear. Hopefully the covid I've got now has finally seen it off

Beyond the shadows.

It could be Omicron according to the independent symptoms in vaccinated people can be stuffy nose, sore head, sore throat and possibly a tickly cough.

I agree. I had the same symptoms three weeks ago and I’m still coughing.

Antibiotics and steroids helped some but this cough id maddening.
