So I'm (male half here) working all Christmas and all new year for the 3rd year on the trot and not winning me any brownie points at home with the wife.

Anyone else struck unlucky on the their shifts pattern?

Hopefully we'll be quiet but if you could all refrain for burning the turkey to the point of starting a house fire I (and my colleagues) would be very grateful.

Isn’t there a rotation system to make sure the same people aren’t always stuck on shifts? I used to work every other Christmas, back in the day, alternating year on year.

Hopefully you won’t be too busy but it’s vital service so stay safe

Been there mate, same job and the oh NHS..

Didn't have a Christmas day and night off together for 12 years, mind you tbh nights was fine with me..

Have a quiet one and stay safe..

Yeah it does go on a rota but I've recently changed locations with the same service so joined a different shift pattern and copped for Christmas again. Just the way it fell but it does hamper any yuletide naughtiness plans.

Still someone has to do it.

Keep safe and keep smiling under your masks people.

Oh and give all the red trucks a wave (or better) if you see us. We do love a bit of attention
