Chatting to a mate of mine last night I was reminded of when I was in my late teens a friend of mine saying I was "in season" and how every so often I seem to get a run of women wanting to date me or just want a shag. This went on for a long time (and I'm sure it even happened without me taking any action while I was married).

Recently it seems to be happening digitally with women I'm meeting from a dating site as well as in person.

I'm not sure if it's just that time of year where people are feeling lonely but it did happen a little earlier in the year too. None of my friends ever went through these phases (in years gone by I felt irresistible when I noticed or was told these seasons were starting, so maybe my confidence had something to do with a few things happening that wouldn't have happened otherwise.)

Has anyone else here ever noticed these phases themselves of being "in season" or anything similar?

Not quite the same but I can be on the shelf for ages, but as soon as I have a whiff of man on the horizon, out pop ALL the men (exes etc) trying to ……reconnect.

It’s probably to do with your confidence and that fact you feel sexy and wanted. When you feel that way it just shines and people pick up on it and want part of it

This can be very true! When people are happy they radiate, so that can be infectious and can be very attractive

Bizarrely it always starts from nowhere, but I'm sure it continues with the confidence, but that still doesn't explain the high ratio of matches on the dating site as I've not changed my profile or added new pics. And there's times I've felt very self assured and gotten nowhere. Honestly it's the weirdest thing (but I'm not complaining

)

OP, could it be just a bit of a coincidence that a glut of women are joining a dating site because Christmas is looming, they are feeling like they don't want another Christmas alone etc. That glut of women are now actively swiping or mailing you in the dating sites ?

I never had any male attention until 3 years ago, that I noticed. Then it's been pretty constant, but I'm more visible in my job now, and it's as a result of that

That is possible I suppose. It happened in August too so maybe the summer heat was getting to them. If I stay single I'm happy for it to still come around a few times a year

I don't believe you didn't get any attention! You obviously just didn't get the signal or men were too intimidated to approach you

But possibly your confidence to say such stuff attracts women in person. Ditto people often want what is unavailable. As to the cycle/season. Most people in GLA don't stir till they can break the ice on their IRN bru?

My phases of attraction are down to my not conscious mind putting away my hedgehog prickles which are up In my natural resting state, essentially when I am ready to let someone in I notice more attention, or is it that I don't notice the attention unless I am ready to receive it...
