... It seems to be free licence for many people (well men) to offer a nice room for the night. Then once ive said that will be nice they either ghost me or say "well since we met on this site...." I'll let your imagination do the rest. Is this normal for just on here or am I going to find its just the same anywhere else?

Are you saying that you meet people on Fab who offer you a bed for the night despite not knowing you and you’re concerned you’re being taken advantage of? Because if you’re homeless, then meeting people even for social scene fun seems a lower priority than, well most things? I feel for anyone sofa surfing or worse, especially this time of year, but think you’re not making it easy for yourself if you think you can get a duvet without any expectation of more if you met here recently ..

I've known people that have saved themselves from being homeless by putting out a youtube video.

I'd say try that, just telling a little information about yourself etc.

To answer your question, the cynic in me will say the response you get on here will mainly be of that nature that you've stated.

I was homeless myself, twice for that matter. Stick around on the site if youre here for the social aspect of the forum but beyond that then you have bigger priorities to focus on. Fab wont disappear overnight.

Get yourself sorted and housed and in a comfortable environment and routine, then think about meeting others for sex etc.

If youre going to put yourself in a position to receive offers for a bed on a site like this, you can be damn sure youre going to get a lot of ppl taking advantage of that. You do not want to go down that road

Firstly that you are homeless does rightly have my sympathy.

Getting back to your point though I would ask why you are on Fab? Is it primarily to meet people for sex or is as a means of finding somewhere to stay.

Both are legitimate when in your situation but this being a sex site one can hardly be surprised if the offers that you get come with a presumption of 'benefits'.

Not concerned I'm being taken advatage of but I'm trying every avenue to find somewhere to stay before the weather gets too cold. I'm lucky in the fact I have a car to stay in. Its a shit situation and to be honest I'm looking for friendship with people who understand my views on swinging ect

You need to separate your homelessness and your swinging lifestyle. The latter isn't a solution to the former and you can't expect people who are on this site to be altruistic in that regard.

I say this as someone who has been homeless themselves. Your number one priority should be stability. Contact your local authority, shelter, crisis etc and any other local agencies or charities that have support workers or homeless outreach work.

They offered me a place, verified me and then asked for me to return the favour the next day I went to see them and the miraculously stopped chatting. I honesty wish I could remove the verification both ways.

If I'm honest I'm using it as a distraction, the local authority basically said sign up for housing but there is 19000 people on the list so you are better off going private. Here private is 600+ for a 1 bed/studio.

Im just here to find something to do rather than plow through the same 10 adverts for houses I lnow are gone
