I don't know if I am old hat or if I am a minority but does anyone else hate filtered pics. I just think that people don't look real and why are people that un confident they need to hide behind one? Surely liking pictures that aren't you won't help confidence? I don't know maybe just me but if you send me face pics please send me unfiltered ha

I’m not a fan of them, but not that bothered by them either. I’ll ask someone for an unfiltered pic’ if they pique my interest enough to get in contact with them.

Yup.. with a passion. People should show themselves as they are, not a Disney version.

I like playing with the colours on my pics. I never change the way I look though.

I have no objection to black and white or colour changes.

I'm not keen on animal ears and filters that completely change how a person looks though.

No one has ever sent me a filtered face picture.

Filtered body pics I have no real issue with. If I meet someone in real life I'd never ask them to send me fully naked pictures first because I have certain/standards expectations on how they look naked.

Heavily photoshopped pics that make someone look completely different are obviously another matter.

The one that gets me is those Disney eyes

I like the funny ones, they can convey a sense of personality. The ones designed to make someone look much more attractive though.... I can see why people's self esteem might require it but it's never going to end well

I find them totally weird. A lot of women particularly (I don’t look at pics of men) have a warped idea of what is attractive - and their warped photos, or worse, plastic surgery, are not attractive and can be grotesque (to me).

It depends on what you are calling filters OP. I do edit mine so I suppose you can say I use filters. Are you classing B&W as a filter?

When photos are charged dramatically or Snapchat then no but I see nothing wrong in presenting yourself in the best way. Most people will use flattering angles anyway.

I am confident in the way I look btw

I only ever use b/w filters or adjust the light. Apart from that it's a bit pointless. The problem with using heavy filters is that so many profiles look exactly the same.

Depends on the filter if it’s just a colour filter like black and white or something else then I good with that

It’s once you start with the perfect make up ones and touch up hear and there

And a bit off pinch and squeeze on the shape modifier

Then that’s when I tend not to like it

But also lens play a lot as well

Wide angle lens will give the perspect that they bigger than they are if take for a distance and then cut down to size

Long lined angle lens will make someone appear smaller than they really are

Depends on the filter, changing it to black & white or in good lighting I have no problem with. If they are completely changing their face and body then that is catfishing at its finest. I make it clear on my profile that all my pictures are flattering, nobody has the perfect body.

Agree totally here. Angles lighting and colours not against. Its the make up sparkly animal filter things. Just shows no confidence which in itself is unattractive and fakeness to me.

I'll put a light filter or colour filter on my pics sometimes, but my face pics are definitely my face

I only filter my boobs and hips. I sometimes give myself a few extra teeth if I'm taking a selfie with a smile. And I'll always make sure to add some glasses to make myself look intelligent.
