So I have a fear of heights. Yesterday evening I was in London and the escalators for the tube always terrify me (I literally close my eyes and can't look down) anyone else who has a fear of heights feel similar about really high escalators?

I hate hate hate heights. But for a work social I had to climb over the top of the O2 arena. Gritted my teeth, smiled and did it.

Yarp. In Singapore you can see over the edge of some... And they go 11 floors up.

Lifts less so. It's knowing I could fall that bscares the bejeesus out of me.

I have a crippling fear of heights. I can't climb more than a few rungs of a ladder. If i feel secure where I am then I'm OK, so planes and escalators don't bother me, but if I feel there's a possibility of me falling then I'm a wreck. Luke

Somewhere

I have a fear of heights and will walk a mile to take the elevator.

The escalator at Bethesda Metro station is 10 stories high and one of the highest I’ve ever seen.

Those ones made me feel a bit sick coz I was so at the gradient and height. My mind goes into overdrive worrying someone may fall and knock everyone down like skittles, chaos ensues.

The first time I saw the escalators for the tube in London I almost had a mild panic attack, but I just held on tight and didn't look down lol.

Read the ads to the side and wait for the gradient to level out then look down.

Redhill

Only in tall buildings, and bizarrely only abroad in tall buildings.
