Just a thought, it could be fun? Just looking into how many people would be interested first. . . . . Anyone wanting to play could pass an address on to me to forward solely to their secret Santa? I know some might not be comfortable with that but I think that would be the only way of doing it, as I said just looking for your opinions and interest

I used to run a few forums, not sex site ones, but yes that is the way it works, I think you can get a sense of whether you can trust someone or not.

People sent me their addresses and it all worked out well, I haven't stalked a single one

The parcel being sent to you, for you to forward... Or money being sent to you n then a parcel would arrive ?

The person running it receives all presents normally and sends them on to the intended recipient.

Lol, thought that, 2x postage plus parcel... How much do u lot think is an appropriate amount? £5 is what we used to do at work. Also, if loads o folk pic the same person ? Is it not better to send in names and be allocated a person (we used to do it by a lucky dip....) then, on a selected day after Christmas everyone writes their status to say who it was they had...(the fun part is keeping it secret till its past lol)?x

Tried to thumbs up @ in by early Dec, with post I would suggest its by middle o Nov to shh, so has enough time to send them bk out again x

You can play Santa and assign the givers and recipients. You'd need to dress up to carry out the role properly.

I send special ones at celebrations to my boys etc anyways. I do prefer the sound of the secret Santa tho. Perhaps folk could do that for Halloween?

I know this won't probably go down well and I am probably too picky about privacy....but looking at the other thread it looks like lots of address's are being given out to strangers and parcels sent through the post that you don't even know whats in them.

Am I the only one who is thinking lots could go wrong?

The recipients address is only given to Julie, obviously she can't be held accountable for what's inside the package but it would be silly for someone to put something unpleasant in the package because both Julie and I will know who sent that package.

Serious answer, you don't. I guess it's about trusting your instincts. I think I've been here long enough to trust Julie with my address. It's down to the individual really if you don't want to participate its up to you x

Fairpoint, and with respect I would personally question both the sanity and intelligence of someone that sees no potential pitfall in giving out their home address to numerous complete strangers known through a swingers site. I mean seriously what could possibly go wrong?

Well the way I see it, is, I have done it many times before and to date has not back fired on me

I would imagine, only regular forum users will participate and therefore trustworthy imo, and also Sshh and I would definitely not entertain a user who is not verified one way or the other, unless someone can vouch for them, so that will eliminate the "just joined the site" to see if they can get my address.

Failing that, I have a good guard dog

I have to agree with Rugby, its incredibly naïve to think that just because something hasn't gone wrong in the past that it won't ever.

You might as well print your address on your profile if you are willing to give complete strangers on the internet your address just because they happen to post regularly on a forum and you exchange fun messages.

Its your call obviously, you can risk assess and decide for yourselves. I have seen many posts eherre single ladies have met seemingly lovely guys, only for these guys to turn up at their houses on a later date which hasn't been arranged.

and of course a lot of victims of crime never believe its going to happen to them either.

Just think in depth about possible consequences rather than the excitement of receiving a gift from a forumite. I personally believe that Shaz's idea of exchanging secret santa gifts at a social in a swinging club is a better idea

Ive been here for years and have seen many incidents regarding regular forums users of the moment that have turned out to be devious beyond belief and very ungenuine to the shock of many other people on here

Although the intention comes from good and its all a bit of fun,and in a real life setting works well,just be really really careful or it could all blow up in your face and id hate for that to happen to anyone on here
