Just been out for a walk. Along the canal to Beeleigh falls, back through the woods. It’s quite muddy. The amount of people out wearing inappropriate footwear for the conditions is really shocking. New trainers FFS! What is wrong with these people?

I get so much amusement from watching them with the puzzled looks on their faces as they try to pick their way through the mire. Tiptoeing around a particularly difficult obstacle, only to fail at the last step and end up on their now muddy arses. I giggle like a school kid at it.

And this is why i have a pair of DC shoes that are a year old and still look nrand new even though ive worn them regularly.

I keep my shoes clean and only wear the right ones for a particular time and place

Yes, that is great entertainment.

Outrageous.

I noticed a guy wearing some canvas sliders at the lacrosse yesterday, it’s just baffling to me.

Hundreds of years ago in my very early twenties I went on holiday to the Lake District with some people visiting from India. It was November. We took a private mini bus tour. I had high heeled sandals on and the Indian women wore silk saris and no coats. Getting out and walking round the beauty spots was interesting
