Bose has to be up there as the best

I have a Bose mini sound link. Sound is superb and it’s small enough to travel with.

"Sonos for me. Different gravy "

I haven’t tried the portable ones but I’ve got 3 x Sonos 1 and 1 x Sonos 3

And I love them!! The best sound system for that range. Like they are expensive but not like INSANELY expensive

I bought one from wish a few years ago and it has a woman who speaks to say when a device is connected/disconnected and when its low on battery..

Except shes trying to speak english and cant pronounce the words properly with her obvious asian accent

What's the setup for? Cinema room? Or something just to play with your mobile connected?

How much are you looking to spend?

I got to try sonos speaker set mains wired though.

Good system nice and meaty more so with my music.

Just one issue the way it connects to your mobile phone and wants full consent to do so.

Even with a laptop it forced its software onto the pc otherwise you couldnt use bluetooth only through 1 speaker.

sonos did bring in on its software where it will fail to connect to other speakers, As it deems them too old forcing you to buy new speakers if the software wont update

SONOS have collaborated with IKEA on their SYMFONISK range of speakers/audio products. They're 'relatively' cheaper than native SONOS speakers.

But I do love my SONOS. Can't fault them.

I’ve bought a Sonos Roam as a treat to myself and the sound quality is as good as our 1’s and 5.

It’s travelled to so many places with us…car journeys, hotel stays, weekends away have all been enhanced by it.

I went for the 'Bowers & Wilkins Formation Flex' i only use it in my garage if working on my car or in the tractor.

Im a absolute audiophile when it comes to sound quality and will definitely say the clarity is fantastic doesnt sound far off what a high end set of bookshelf speakers sound like. really crisp and deep.. i found it a real sounding bass not a enhanced muffled bass like 'bose' seem to produce.

I play it loud and it doesnt distort after periods of play

I love stereo when listening to music and these aren’t portable per se but they have a fantastic sound, comes with a remote, great for Spotify etc. You may want to buy more speaker wire if you want to place the speakers further apart, as I did.

JVC XS-D629BM 2.0 Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers

Pick them up from Currys for £79.99, tell them Ed from Fabswingers sent you, whilst giving them a cheeky wink

If you have an iPhone, you can airplay on Sonos as well. So it’s not always done through their app tho I find it easier as I can still do my things like voice notes on WhatsApp if I connect music through app and not via AirPlay
