How did your work out go this week? Anything you particularly decided to focus on? Anything you feel particularly proud about that you finally achieved , maybe?!

Tell little Kylie eveeeeerrryyyythhhhiiiingggg!

I just finished a yoga class and I’m about to cry, it was all about the legs today and, damn… I hope the glutes will thank her for the hard work out.

Legs are like JELL-O

I’ve done 2 yoga classes as per usual this week, working on some splits on the side, with 10 mins leg stretch everyday. And obviously Pole.

Which really is rewarding me with lots of fun and body confidence .

My tummy is looking particularly flat as of lately, so, maybe I’m doing something right (apart from maybe snacking too much but I am hopefully it will go straight down my arse, so…)

I'm on my rig so I'm time limited in the gym - half hour slots due to Covid. I've been doing half an hour on the treadmill each day preceded by 1/2 hour of planks and squats in my cabin. Home next week so normal service can resume

Nice, how are you finding the treadmill?

Recovering from COVID, so easing back into my routines.

There is one exercise, switch jumps, where you spring into an almost kneeling position, alternating between legs.

It's supposed to get easier, right? Well, I'm still waiting... Hasn't happened yet.

The other I don't look forward to is the mountain climber.

What's the exercise which you least look forward to?

Sun salutations

Particularly the transition from downward dog into plank and hold and then upward dog (upward is good tho)

Also anything that makes me hold too long into odd positions that work legs out. Like the chair

Hope you are feeling better btw

Thanks, I'm on the mend

Oh, I know that one, my cool down in last night's workout was downward dog into cobra. It is challenging, you're right.

I wish I knew all this a few decades back, I would be much more flexible. There is so much advice and information available now, a lot of it for free.

I have not had a great week workout wise due to a poorly family member and a big freelance work project to finish.

I did parkrun this morning. I've decided to take a couple of easy weeks and then start training hard again soon.

I’ve not been near a gym this week, rib has still been giving me grief.

Next week marks the start of a new training block, taking the injury into account.

I've not been at all this week. My head just wasn't in the right place as have far too much other stuff going on.

I need to get back to it though as I'm putting weight on.

Got my full quota of four sessions in down the gym - I am currently on a strength building phase so PBs on squats and bench presses and deadlifts are maintaining near one rep max. Legs are feeling it today though after Fridays leg session

Currently injured and trying to rest!

I’ve done some upper body work to try and maintain things but it’s the cardio that I really need.

I need to find a swimming pool near to me

It will get easier, better and faster

Newcastle upon Tyne

4 sessions of cardio between 30 and 50 minutes each. 1 session midweek on arms, shoulders and chest to provide a bit of balance. After each session do ten to fifteen minutes abs workout.

Enjoy the hour or so it takes to complete. Very relaxing.

Achilles injury. Mainly because I didn’t listen to my own advice and stopped when it hurts!

After a few weeks of focusing on decline dumbbell chest press I did incline for a change.

My back felt good after a few weeks of light weights so I increased the weights this week.

Lots of volume training for my shoulders biceps and triceps keeping the weight relatively heavy

I did some running at the start of the week and then towards the end just went on the stationary bike for 40 minutes each time

Next week swimming will be longer as I’ll go in the pool Monday and the cycling will be same intensity just 2 1/2 mins longer for each interval.

Running will be 10% longer.

It’s all base work so quiet low intensity.

Great effort Kylie!!

And I’m managing to hit all my personal goals and then some!!

I do weight training as I absolutely hate CV and due to time I’m able to go twice a day….it’s helping!!

Today was a leg session and the deadlift finally got dominated by me haha

Keep aiming high on your workout journey…you’ll get there as will we all

I had to miss my gym PT session on Monday, while I awaited a sodding PCR result and wheelchair basketball on Thursday I had to do wearing a suit and shiny shoes. That was due to mega traffic stopping me from getting home to get changed. I managed though

I love being in there and pushing my legs to their limits but then hate the doms for 4 days afterwards

Jelly legs are a good thing

Taking a block of training to focus entirely on getting my log press and deadlift up to be more competitive next year

Deadlift currently stands at 250 and log around 100. Realistically to be ultra competitive in my weight class I’ve gotta get my deadlift close to 300 and my log close to 120
