Putting the tree up today, obviously a real one coz that’s how I roll….what do you prefer?

I like the idea of sustainable ones, that you buy, then return to be replanted until next Christmas, but as I already own a second hand fake one, I will stick with it as long as I can

Real every time….although the maintenance can be a bit of a drag and I find pine needles still in the living room come December the next year….nothing beats the enjoyment of picking the best one….fighting it to fit in my car and then the smell of it come the December nights!!

I much prefer a real tree, but the space I use is fairly narrow and real trees don’t grow in the shape I need so an artificial one is the way forward.

Fake. It's a battered old second-hand thing so if I stop using it nobody else would want it and it'll go to landfill.

It looks ok once it has a billion baubles on it.

I have fake in the front room & kitchen diner, but a smal real one in the hallway. I love the smell coming through the door.

We've got a must be at least 30 yr old fake tree, so long as it hasn't fallen apart no point to replace it

Real usually. We also have a puppy so weren't going to bother this year but have decided it would be wierd not to have one. So....I'm going to get one today and see how he is with it before the lights and decs go on. He might be ok or I might end up giving it away!

We always have a real tree. We go along to our local country estate and the children help choose a tree. We then bring it home,have thr log burner roaring, Christmas music playing and we decorate the tree. It's a lovely festive tradition that we will keep on doing for years to come.

Only problem is when the tree is far too big and Mr brings his chainsaw into the lounge to chop the tree smaller. I didn't really see the funny side at the time.
