couple swingers take themselves very seriously

Just an observation. . .

Why do couple swingers take the fields"lifestyle" as its called so seriously. Its supposed to be fun but most seem to be very quick to ridicule single guys and some girls especially if they are attached. Is it an insecurity that lurks in the relationship of a swinging couple? That they may steal their partners or something?

No I think it's more to do with the fact that there are many single guys on Fab so couples and single ladies can be choosy and some make, so I saw on another thread, some ridiculous demands expecting a single male to pay for 2 hotel rooms for example as they didn't want him spending the night with them after they had had fun.

As to the cheating bit, well there is always I suppose the possibility that one half would run off with a single male or that they just don't want to meet cheaters

Well I totally get what you're talking about but you probably posted at the wrong time, the self proclaimed 'genuine' swingers' are probably out 'socialising' at bingo or something. Remember, it's not a sex site

"Not entirely sure what you have based your observation/theory on? "

well my theory is based on the fact that many attached singles get bashed here for playing away. But we all do it to a certain extent and i just think having sex with someone else's partner is what we all do. There is a massive level of distrust for attached singles. Without knowing their side of the story

why would it be acceptable in someone else's ???

If the single is attached, why would they be such a thrteat to a couple? I would have thought that the unattched ones would have been more of a threat if there were any insecurities within the couple! Attached or single, you can never tell if they're telling the truth on here anyway!

And based on this post you are confusing have morals and principals with being serious.

We do have fun!! We are very secure!! And not at all worried that either one of us is going to run off with any of the singles we have met!!

Can't see how you can compare a single cheating behind a partners back! And a couple swinging??

bit of a difference between playing with someone else's partner knowing they know, and are fine with it... and just playing with someone else's partner....

i don't even call it honesty anymore.... more a case of "honest enough"

"honest enough" to get said leg over with a stranger..... but not quite "honest enough" with the one person in the world you think they would be

But we have the choice of who we have sex with!! Married singles playing without their partners consent is cheating!

We choose not to play with married singles for a number of reasons!

is that what you would say to the face of the person who didn't know their other half was doing this? not being facetious.. just curious....

since it is "theory night"...can I put one forward:

I was say that it is easy to say that if you don't put a name or face to the person.. an anonymous figure so to speak...

..... but when that figure does become a voice, or god forbid something face to face.... its not quite that easy, because they become a living and breathing human being with emotions...

Or is it that they are not true to their current partner? I do know some couples find it a threat to their relationship

So the fact that in one scenario there is somebody that is unaware and is being cheated on isn't a "clear difference"?

You are a couple, so you are honestly saying that when you play together is the same as if one of you cheated? Seriously? If your other half said that she/he'd been having a load of casual sex behind your back, in your world that is the same as when you have group sex together?

ok to me your not making sense, yes we all know that makes a person with a partner is going behind there backs, but that doesnt explain how there are a threat to anyone else. Unless you think they cant be trusted to be discreet, which i think would do more harm to them than you.

to the original question....we first started using these sites as a way of meeting like minded people. also, we were totally fed up watchin our friend cuckold his wife repeatedly so we decided it wouldnt happen to us, therefore we began this way. cheating is in NO WAY ACCEPTABLE and using excuses isnt on either. we would NEVER CONSIDER playing any part in helping or playing with the person cheating, no sirree!!! as for single people, most people including singles, are pretty much ok, approachable, chatty and helpful. you know? if people just a READ THE RULES FIRST before enterin a room then a lot of hassle would be avoided. most people are also sensible enough to realise that if they're pleasant polite and well mannered i.e. saying hi n just well....talking, then they'll get much further than if they're rude or demanding. which we have had a LOT of. boy do i love the block button lol it saves sooo much trouble. nuff said.

In our _iew we entered into this lifestyle to meet like minded people and enjoy some fun with like minded people and someone who is clearly cheating is not like minded so therefore we choose not to chat/meet cheating people as in our _iew cheating is wrong on any level.

We all know the brain is weak to temptation - or other parts of the anatomy... Cheaters need to learn to use the brain more to think about the effect their actions have on their relationship - it destroys & demoralises the other half when they get found out & it becomes a 'Put up & shut up' situation or a 'ship out' one - either way their happy relationship is tainted somehow... It takes time to learn to trust again...
