I don't go myself or necessarily know any but I'm sure all the little countryside laybys are frequented! Especially by the lakes/waters.

There's a large layby on the A66 W of Keswick looking over Bassenthwaite though. Or you can drive down to the lakeside if you follow signs to the train cafe just further up the road.

It’s my fave part of the country and I go at least twice a year in normal times.

Was there just a couple of weeks ago but didn’t see any dogging. Saw lots of sheep though. And pensioners in waterproofs and walking boots
